I want to close my dropshipping store on Shopify.

A lots of orders are still on their way.
The reason is because it failed, I lost a lot of money refunding customers due to delay with e-packet.

Will i get in trouble for closing my store right away? Will customers come to my house?

uh! i don't have much information in the dropshipping but if the orders are still active.. you shouldn't close your store and vanish in thin air. its just bad and unethical...

Hey my experience as dropshipper might not be much but as a customer I know I will be extremely disappointed and will try every possible way to get what I ordered because I paid for it. Obviously coming to home part is highly unlikely but still as far as I know it will be better if you just deliver every order before closing. I hope things get better for you in the future.

Where are you shipping from? China? If so, why don't you find suppliers from USA? (if you ship to US)
You don't have to close the store as you already have customers to work with in the future, just switch your products and change the strategic moves.

Get all your shop's affairs in order before closing the store, any orders placed either ship them or refund them. The risk would not be somebody knocking on your door, but if you have payment processors such as Paypal you may lose your account due to high number of disputes etc.

On a side note, if things did not go well with this business, take some time to reflect on what went wrong because even if you did not succeed on this one, I am sure there are a lot of valuable lessons you can take away to ensure your next venture has higher probabilities of being profitable.

Most of the time the seed of your success is in your previous failures, so do not waste this one and make sure you are learning everything you can from it.

if you want to close your store:
1/ do not accept any new orders
2/ refund / ship all orders that are not shipped yet
Or you can just find new local suppliers and reduce the delay to a minimum

Change the status of your products as out of stock so no new purchases can be made. Then deliver. Wait a couple of weeks after the last delivery and shut it down.
