Looking to see if anyone can suggest any plugins or workarounds to help solve some site performance issues I am having...I am NOT looking to buy any services for a million bitcoin over skype :)

I checked my PageInsights score last night and it was 26 (for mobile) and 44 for Desktop!! Checked my GT Metrix and its 41%

Any suggestions on how I can fix this?? Serve Scaled images? - I have tried ShortPixel, Smush Pro and EWWW Image Optimizer and I even enabled my NameCheap CDN, but no results after retesting.

Alot of my photos are also from Unsplash.

Additionally my google results look like this;

This is a real kick in the balls, this whole time I was focussing on quality content and forgot about the impact of performance with all the images etc!...Any suggestions for any plugins, especially from @Festinger vault would be ideal!

Use a CDN and a WEBP image conversion - WP-Rocket might be your best friend as well.

I dont know much about wordrpress but i saw somebody mentioning a plugin to surpress images

Check my signature. Its free if you are not lazy.

I having a similar situation almost same figures as op, I am using stellar plus.
And I am using wp rocket too.Optimization is really a pain

U splash usually has images at 4k resolution. In your WP media you can select an image and confirm if this is the case. There are plugins that limit the maximum size you can upload.
I believe EWWW does have this feature.

Overall this shouldn't be necessary, but I have had some peformance increase through limiting the maximum sizes.

P.S. I used 1600 for max width and height.
