Is cloudflare really safe?

One of my friend told that if they get any complaint, they will immediatelly will share information.

You don't need to use your real info, do you?
I mean, unless you're going to pay with CC you're safe and you could use a stealth identity.
Cloudflare should be your least though, care more about the domain seller (how are you paying him? is he collecting your personal info?)
I recommend using Namecheap + BTC or.... The not infamous njal.la, which is a middleman that purchases the domain for YOU, so theoretically they own your domain, but practically you master it. Yeah, they accept BTC aswell and the only thing they ask you for is your email.
But regardless, never purchase a domain with your home IP lol

I think he's doing something illegal/deep blackhat since he's worried about anonymity that much.
I had a web site ( copy content)
Not illegal. %100 legal but copy content. And site owner sent DMCA to hosting. They closed.
I changed hosting and i used cloudflare.
So i asked this question
I am using Cloudfare and very happy with the service. I even met them in Web Summit.

They dont share your information by just a complaint, They literally send the complaint to your email address. If you are breaking their TOS they might cancel your account but in most cases they wont care.
If the complaint be from officials for example a court order they will share your information.

They wont share your IP address to avoid ddos abuse.
but they will tell the other party where you are hosting your website, They will send a copy of abuse to your hosting as well.
So that guy can contact your hosting about your website. Literally cloudflare is not anything close to warez, They are only good for the CDN and DDoS protection.
So do you have another option to hide more info about web site?

Cloudflare has a lot of good review in terms of speed and service but there are certain insecurities regarding privacy which have not been completely eradicated by them yet. So it is up to us to see if we actually need it and can we afford to have issues which can affect the safety and stability of our site?

I've been using CloudFlare for quite a while - 2 years or so and never had any problems. If you want anonymity, buy domain privacy protection so no one will find your personal or address details. Cloudflare is really great by the way, especially with the free SSL and I also like 'Argo' option which makes your site load even faster.

Is that really safe? I mean when got the court order, Cloudfare has to share the info. Why use cloudfare then? Why not directly point to your offshore hosting?
