Facebook page blue verification requirements?

I just created a Facebook page for an educational institution, and I tried to verify it, unfortunately without success.

I know, I don't have Likes and stuff, anyway... what are the requirements to get it verified?

I don't know too much about this, but I know that the price of a verified Facebook page is above $1.5k, so, getting verified is not that easy.

You will need to be in touch with an agency in order to do that.

It's almost impossible to get the verified badge by just submitting the form.

That ain't true. I know a Online group where they are being sold for $400-$700 depends on likes. I ain't endorsing such stuff, but just saying what i know!
