So I think it's generally accepted a backlink from a website about guitars to your website about guitars is more powerful than a backlink from a website about fishing to your website about guitars. Assuming metrics are roughly the same.
However, what if your website doesn't really have a niche. For example a blog about just everyday life, or a price comparison website.
Does it really matter then what niche your backlinks come from? And does that mean your backlinks have less relevancy and in turn power if you have a website is without a clear niche?
