Brain storm help: Carpet cleaning YouTube channel

Hey guys. I'm thinking about doing a carpet cleaning video channel. Some videos could be "oddly satisfying" and others are something like "how dirty is a clean looking carpet," and film the dirty waste water coming out the waste tank of my portable vacuum unit.

Anyway,

I'm thinking of ways to monetize the channel.

You're probably thinking "why not just start your own company dummy?". I signed a non compete with my employer and can't legally start a business in my city. That's why i was thinking about doing a free room of carpet if they let me record it and put it up on youtube.

I was thinking of throwing a go fund me link in the description to buy more equipment etc.

I suppose I could test store bought products and throw affiliate links in the description.

What do you think?

I've seen views range from 1k, 22k, 1m

Your content strategy reflects a monetization strategy more focused on AdSense income. If you were making informational videos, however, then you could focus more on affiliate sales. You could put affiliate links in your video descriptions, but think about the search/view intent of viewers watching your videos. People watching “oddly satisfying” type videos aren’t looking to purchase a vacuum, they’re looking to be entertained.

You could make a series "Today I Clean [insert dirty thing]" and test different types of dirt and surfaces. Then build a review site around it if it gets popular.

I dont have a channel yet. Some of the bigger channels have solid engagement. Lots of natural looking comments. "I can't believe I'm so bored that I watched 2 hours of your carpet cleaning videos"

There is pay per call networks that offer carpet cleaning offers that pay something like $10 to $20 per 60 sec call. Do some research about pay per call so u can understand but beside that use adsense to monetise your videos and affiliate like amazon or so.. and it's nothing wrong to have a gofundme to buy new equipements.Patreon can do the job that's what most people into ASMR doing.

See, I would take a more creative approach. For example, a video with a title like:

I Used a Vacuum on My Entire Lawn and This Happened

And then a thumbnail with you holding a vacuum and a picture of a massive lawn on a ranch with a red arrow pointing to it would perform well.

Creative topic + Good title + Good thumbnail = Win (for viral-type channels)
