Using Youtube vs Website to rank in Google.

If I want to rank in google, is it better to upload video to youtube and send backlinks to it or to create a website and send backlinks to it.

ranking on google youtube facebook etc is the same and you dont need backlinks unless your topic is competitive

basically you pick an active keyword, and then send traffic to it, more traffic and longer retention for example on youtube, then your competitor. thats the basic gist

pick a search, send that type of traffic the site has to it and it shows the site its an active search, so you need to research active seo and find ones that work best in your niche. you could rank really easily for dead seo like glow in the dark fishing rods for toddlers or something, and not rank with alot of traffic views in fortnite

Anyways both are good in my point of view build a web site and promote the quality of unique new trend content and build the internal linking structure and slowly improve the quality of backlinks.

If you pick the right long-tail keywords, ranking a YouTube video is as simple as uploading it with the right keywords. I'm doing this on a daily basis right now.

I like doing both, this way you get 2+ spots in serps. You want to get as many spots on serps as high as possible. It's called "dominating a niche".
