Google is Dumb ~ Hidden Links.

Hey guys.

I'm following very closely a competitor strategy. He uses a lot of hidden links in high authorithy domais.
Every month he gets over 10/15 links from this dodgy pages!

He's ranking in top positions in a very competitive market.

is it worth doing this? I though google was smarter... this is working since december. i'm a bit
incredulous how this is possible.View attachment 133837

Any thoughs?
Google is way smarter in some ways and way, way dumber in another. People are ranking with hacked, shit spam links and what not, for years, in most competitive niches. So good luck with your waiting.

OP clearly said that they are hidden. He added a black screen above the image for symbolic representation :D

"How does one outrank that which cannot be seen"

Got to be my favourite Gandhi quote, guy was ahead of his time for sure.

In all seriousness Google is pretty dumb still.

They say paid links don't work..they work.
They say web 2.0 don't work...they work.
They say auto generated content won't rank..it ranks.

I've stopped listening to Google and gurus ages ago now. They've all got an angle.

Just do your own tests and test with others you trust.

I've seen hidden links many times in competitive niches. If you have a balanced backlink profile you can easily get away with it.

Everything works unless someone from Google manually reviews it.

If you've got 100 decent looking backlinks and 10 hidden I'm pretty sure you'll pass a manual review. I understand your point, that's why I said balanced :)

They got over 30links / month all hidden (for the dumb people who don't know what means hidden, you can see an example on my previous post).
All links are shity on pages with over 50 DR
So they got over 150 backlinks in a couple of months. he's definitely earning over 150K / month with that positions.
Their SEO company works with very big companies with budgets over 1M/year just for SEO. I'm not talking about a shity low value market.

Are all the hidden backlinks on the same CMS?

What do hidden links mean?

Go to your favorite forum and talk about the nice girl you met yesterday. Explain what happened and finish your sentence by an ironic smiley o_O
Behind that smiley, simply add your link.

Of course, I won't dare to do that old tricky tip here :smirk:

Yes. Google is indeed dumb. That is the reason it is still using backlinks as a major ranking factor.

Op its normal thing, tons of people use it. The best example of sites is in spammed niches like forex. People try everything to get on top position for these niches. Plus some desperate f**k even try to take the whole first page. :D I know you are reading my post.

Don't forget that Ahrefs/Moz/Majestic don't disregard links for SEO purposes. I've seen certain domains (specially for purchasing expiring) that have huge metrics, but when you check the anchor, they have clearly done this kind of practices. This is sometimes difficult to spot specially if you don't invest too much time on purchasing (although if you are going for a HQ very expensive domain, this is something to be checked before).

Also, in the other side, as some others have already mentioned, PBN contrarily, tend to not appear on the sites profiles (they block Ahrefs /Moz crawlers to stay hidden). Sometimes, is difficult to spotcheck why a site is ranking. But ultimately, if the site doesn't have a huge CTR it won't rank top regardless of the authority. Try to go for 2nd position and overwhelm the 1st position with a great intent satisfaction SERP result.

Google isn't as smart as most think. There's always going to be an angle, as with everything else. And there will always be someone to figure out that angle. Unfortunately, they ain't telling. Or seldom do.

I was looking at sape links for pointing at web 2.0 does anyone still use sape?

i'm sure he's using sape links to rank his website.

Uts a bit hard to understand without seeing exactly what you are talking about

How do you do that?

Put any smiley in your post. Simply insert your link directly into the smiley.
I can't show you as I don't have enough post to use links in my posts.
