TikTok with a foreign SIM card

Hello!

I recently joined TikTok, and noticed that the videos it shows are from my current region. I normally live in Thailand, but I am currently back in Europe due to the Covid situation.

I want to target a Thai audience, and using my Thai SIM card is the only way to go around it. Would switching between my local european card and my Thai sim card be an issue for them? I currently have 17k followers, and I’m afraid they might suspend my account for doing that. What if I only use my Thai SIM card and close the app before I switch to the regional one?

Any tips/suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Hey. You have already registered a tickotok account on a Thai SIM card. Reassigning an account to another SIM card is very simple, go to your account settings, click on the phone, send SMS, after which you can attach a new phone number to your accounts.

You can safely change the SIM card, this will not affect your audience in any way, all subscribers will remain

Thank you. I meant my account in general. Isn’t constantly changing my SIM card suspicious for TikTok?

VPN does not work for me. Even with my SIM card out, I’m still seeing regional videos. With a foreign SIM, my FYP completely changes to the one I’m targeting.

1. Don't use vpn - it will affect your videos
2. If you are switching cards then it's ok. I do this all the time and it's not affected.
Just turnoff tiktok > switch card > turn on tiktok

If you switch to the foreign sim and you forget to turn off tiktok then it is still ok but you will see foreign fyp and if you post the video the will be shown to a foreign audience.
