Hey,

I am in search of new Amazon sellers who have recently have started selling on Amazon and also sellers who are progressing in Amazon. I wish to have detailed conversation of how can we develope using Amazon as a platform.

Strange there are no reviews about the post. Anyone who would like to add anything?

Just cancelled my Amazon professional seller account:

Here's a list of my mistakes:
1. Selling a commodity.
2. Thinking lowest price would drive sales.
3. Posting outside US. 1-3 week postage (double atm with most flights cancelled)
4. Trusting Amazon would be fair with idiot customers.
5. Treating it as an add on to my existing selling infrastructure. That is, sending traffic elsewhere and hoping I would luck into the buy box.
6. Thinking that listing 1000s of products would result in sales.
7. Not concentrating on very few items in an unserviced but popular niche (Assuming they exist).
8. Believing the hype instead of proper research.
9. Losing interest quickly.

Good lessons though. Less work and debt than a university degree.
Time to pivot...

My only experience of amazon is that they're awful to sellers, and very nice to buyers. People selling my product but fake version, and Amazon didn't remove it for 3 months despite me contacting them nearly every day. Fuckers

What are you going to do next ?

What are you going to do next ?
It's a complicated question...
The shutdown of flights and postage killed my businesses on virtually all platforms.
Battling the feeling of powerlessness, I decided the best thing to do was to help people survive this b.s. situation.
I'm going back to my financial advice background in order to build a network to launch my next business idea.
There's a lot of free government money floating around and I'm going to use it and explain how others can access it.
I'm only specialising in Australia though.

Join where? Amazon?
I gave Amazon 18 months and covid19 was the final nail in the coffin.
It's been a bit of a lottery as to what people are selling when the shit hit the fan:
Assuming you have stock in the right location, here are some examples of where business is booming:
Home office equiptment
Herbal remedies/vitamins/placebos
Musical instruments
Home entertainment
Podcasting and video equipment
Accounting and business consulting
Debt collection
- and the list goes on...
I really feel for people in business like travel and hospitality.
Pivot pivot pivot people.

I am not involved in FBA and stories that you read from existing sellers don't give me any incentive to become one. I did get approved to Amazon Merch last month but they're not accepting new designs, only draft of new products. In December I acquired several thousand designs for POD and created several small niche stores out of it. I had so many unused designs in several niches that would be too much for me to start a store of its own (ie. 2000+ for one niche) and I've decided to upload them to Amazon and let them sit there and to get some sales. I identified plenty of designs that are not on Amazon at all and some designs that are different but use same phrase as other listings on Amazon, one listing had 150+ reviews. I plan to add nice designs that dont exist at all and similar designs for already hot selling designs.

While I was planning to do one niche that I have 2000+ designs and last week I did a 360 and instead uploaded several designs for a niche where I have ~100 designs. I did it because this niche is connected to something that is getting a lot of news coverage right now and I expect more customer interest to purchase directly & as gifts for others. The other niche interest is not peaking yet and I expect it to start peaking in end of 2020, plenty of time to do something else.

To help me as new Amazon Merch seller with only 10 designs in beginning I consulted with someone who has direct connection to the niche in question. The person is 100% match for this niche and was asked which designs appeal the most for purchase directly & also as presents for others. I also asked the person to write short descriptions (few sentences) for 10 designs that are in draft right now and will be submitted for Amazon approval when possible. After listings are live I will ask some people that I know in this niche if they like any designs and to purchase if they do and I'll give them some sort of cash back. This will get me real purchases + real reviews on Amazon and hopefully more organic sales and I'll create variety of mockups using 10 designs which will be posted on IG. If people like designs and they have someone related to this niche they can buy it as a present and it will appeal to larger base. If my niche was about fishing I wouldn't be targeting fisherman and instead would prefer to go after someone who knows fishermen & wants to buy a gift for them.

I'm looking forward to seeing some Covid19 T-shirts.
1.5M exclusion zone - my farts are infectious.

I love this tactic

Good decision may be.. But I'll suggest to have a strong hold in the local market then step by step try to conquer overseas. I may be wrong but i feel like taking baby steps but the stringers ones than taking bug jumps.

Good tactic. In fact very nice. I appreciate the help.
