Anyone from outside US that was accepted in Amazon Pay? They've listed these following requirements:
  • Have a U.S.-based phone number for our registration service to contact you.
  • Have a credit card (issued by a U.S.-based bank).
  • Have a checking account with a U.S.-based bank (you can set this up after registration).
  • Have your business taxpayer ID, EIN, or personal social security number available for the online tax document interview (you can set this up after registration).
From these, it seems like registering for a US LLC is a way to go but I'm not sure how to solve the credit card part issued by a US-based bank. Banking solutions for US businesses owned by non-residents only issue debit cards.

Amazonpay accepts for sure companies established in some european countries (FR UK DE AT ES NL BE IE IT) but maybe they have restrictions for eastern european companies (RO BG etc.). It will mostly depend on what business you want to present.
They will also require a full KYC

PS: I dont know your business activity but amazonpay seems to be a bit useless in the payment industry, I dont know anyone who can see any uplift in sales or any advantage accepting amazonpay (maybe in the US, you slightly increase the retention with higher basket value over the time..very hard to track and measure)

Saw AmazonPay offered by a major competitor - I'm doing ecom. Right now my store only has PayPal for payment processing (PayPal account or credit/debit card) so I thought AmazonPay would be a good addition as I've seen it on a competitor and my main market is the US.

in india, everyone who has amazon account is having amazon pay, though i am not sure what is diff from other countries.

It depends where you sell, if you sell for US/CA/UK/IN, it might be interesting.

I already negotiated a implementation « bonus » with Amazon (10k€ for an online travel agency i integrating amazonpay), they can also lift the processing fees for 6 months as well to push you to implement. Maybe you could try this one.

It will depend on your business volume.

I will also advise to find a normal card processor if your processing volume is high.
Having only paypal is a risk even for ecom

My main market is US which is why I am seeing AmazonPay as a good payment method especially that a main competitor is offering it. Are you from the US? My problem is I'm not from the US and it's hard to submit to one of the requirements of AmazonPay which is a credit card issued by a US bank.
