just wondering how some Reddit TTS videos are able to monetize their channel? iv seen quite a few that are monetized and wondering how they are getting away with it?

My guess is that those were monetized long before YT stopped monetizing TTS channels.

Can't people monetize them without the need for Youtube monetization though? I have seen a few, but not that many of them

They were probably already monetized.

Most probably they are making use of some loophole on YouTube.
