Hey guys, I'm new to IM. Working on building an amazon review site. I basically have the site built with my first post but I need to work on SEO. I think I understand backlink building. Basically you write some content on different web 2.0 sites then link to your website with the keyword. I was wondering if theres anything more to this that I have to take into consideration? Or is there already a thread on here explaining the basics.

Also, I see that there's a section to pay for backlinks to be built for me. Is it even worth spending the time to build the links myself or should I just pay for it to be build for me if I can afford it?

Thanks in advance!

I'd recommend taking a course to understand the theory behind off-site SEO.
How I rank sites now is simple: do what seems the most natural.
  1. Build a site with content - each page on your site should be at least 1,000 words
  2. Build social signals to said content - this will show that your website is being seen and is popular
  3. Build web 2.0s & forum links to your site for diversity - this is how you build a foundation
  4. Build guest posts to your money pages with exact/partial match keywords - this is where the power comes in
  5. (optional) Build PBN links to the most lucrative pages - this is inexpensive, but risky, way to build power
  6. Repeat

Search blogs in your industry and try contact those webmasters for publishing guest posts...

If you want to do IM for the long term, you should learn about SEO even if you want to pay for it. You dont have to become an expert if you dont want too but atleast understand what its all about

I love the broken-link building method because it works perfectly to create one-way backlinks.

For number 4. Build guest posts to your money pages, Do I create similar article and offer them to other sites? Is this better than getting a backlink from them?

Make guest posts on the relevant authority sites, participate in forums related to your niche and leave the comments with a link pointing to your site, and also look into your competitor backlink building strategies it will help you to get the ideas.

If you're into affliate, do post some informational content. And you can reach out relevant websites for guestpost. Other than that, you can use social media to get some decent traffic.

Do not make websites focused on Amazon now, they are kind of useless after the latest commission cut from Amazon.

Well it's not that easy as "write some content on different web 2.0 sites and link from them" that's just one of methods. You can reach out to site owners to put content on their sites with link, you can build your own PBN, or pay to put links on external one. You can even buy links from market section here ;)

According to me you have to go with the organic techniques, build the link your own on high or websites like forum posting, Quora question answering, social bookmarking, blog commenting, blog posting, blog promotions, etc. It gives you a long term backlink.
And the other thing you have described is paid backlinking which is guest posting. That is also a good technique to get the instant traffic in bulk on your website. But that links are not permanent.

Probably a terrible time to start an Amazon affiliate-centric anything right now (and from now on). I expect most everyone who did so in the past is willing to sell his sites at a discount, probably cheaper to buy one than to make one.

Post good quality content on your site. And build quality backlinks from relevant authority sites.

Do not link Web2.0 links directly to your money site. Use it for tier 2.

Building backlinks on your own sounds good but remember you will have to be familiar with all the link building strategies.

Also it takes time and hard work. Or you can also hire a service provider in the market depending on your requirement.

If you are looking for quick results then choose PBN, but if you are looking for long term results you should definitely go for Real Guest posts.

Regardless of the service it is important to choose the reliable service provider.

So choose wisely to enjoy the results. All the best!!

SEO is way more than building Web 2.0.

You need to think quality over quantity, low outbound links over spammy links, pyramid over new pages, quality content over spammy ones.

There are lots of different ways to approach and make this a success.

There are lots of sellers out there.

I would go for actual ranking over buying links for fun.

Read the top SEO blogs and forums to get enlightenment.
