Ramadan is coming in 2 days and I will start the ~30 days fasting experience like every year.
But this time it will be much different because of coronavirus :weep:
but it's ok we consider it a new challenge.
Happy Ramadan to everyone.

Happy Ramadan.
I'm not Muslim but I just returned from buying 4 juicy goat legs from my local Halal butcher and we was discussing the issues around social distancing when people will be breaking their fast every evening.
So everybody please be safe ;)

Sorry that I dont understand the rules of Ramadan but may I ask, do you stop eating for 30 days? Wow
No eating and drinking and more intensified praying from dusk till dawn( average 15 hours a day) for continous 30 days.

happy Ramadan Brother and sister around the world

Yo
As @majdi107 said, the time is from sunrise to sunset for 30 days. We eat before sunrise and break fasting during sunset.

You can check this article to know the fasting hours around the world if you are interested.

First of all, it's one of the 5 pillars of Islam, you can also read this article.

There are endless benefits for Muslims in the month of Ramadan, just mentioning some.

** It helps build a strong bond between Allah and the person who is fasting.
** It is good for health (scientifically proven).
** It teaches not to waste food and to feel for those who suffer from hunger.
** Every praying in the month of Ramadan gives 70x - so it is like a bonus month.
** It purifies your mind, the way think... It helps you control it.
** It teaches how to be polite, how to control your anger, how to help others, and so on - we practice these things.
and so on...

I hope you got your answer.

Happy Ramadan to all my brothers and sisters from every corner of the earth.

Brother, You forgot to mention Zakath In the end of Ramadan

Zakath Mean: Zakat is the third pillar of Islam. It requires Muslims to give 2.5% of their qualifying wealth each year to help Muslims who need it across a range of categories. Zakat is both a spiritual duty and a vital part of the Islamic social welfare system.

By giving Zakat Muslims cleanse their own wealth. Zakat helps to keep the economy flowing by freeing people from the burden and giving them the chance to reach their potential.

Happy Ramadan.
I guess the scientifically proven benefits can be similar to those obtained by doing those 'intermittent fasting' diets.

** Every praying in the month of Ramadan gives 70x - so it is like a bonus month.

You guys use a points system or what?
