Im sorta in a sticky situation with monetizing my channel

So basically I made a long term stupid mistake by stupidly sharing google accounts/youtube accounts with an old friend about in 2018 , and wanted to stop sharing YT accounts/google accounts so I change my pass/info , the friend burged in again not understanding. Basically how this all happended is in 2018 I made a stupid deal that if I could get him to 1000 subs , he would give me a 50$ psn giftcard and we switch back our accounts back(I know very stupid of me making this deal). So I shared my part of my account so he could help get me money because atm my parents wouldn't allow me to make money off youtube when I shouldn't and should've just wait. So it took months and I finally promoted his channel to 1,000 subscribers. But he lied/scammed and never gave my reward + I didn't want to share accounts and wanted to make videos/adsense money on my own because he was also uploading content I didn't like. So I changed all my info.

But things are sorta good now because we don't have each others accounts. The only thing is that he set up an adsense with my youtube channel to his email for months. And google won't allow me to reopen a new adsense account because my YT is linked to the scammer/betrayer that tried stealing my accounts and now im furious that he might be able to use that info to convince google that he owns my account.

If you have the channel in your possession, and you think he won't unlink the AdSense.

I would probably upload shady/policy-violating videos and get his AdSense banned that's what I'd do if somebody scammed me out for my work.

Go to the google account and add a phone number then activate 2fa notification. Not going to lie u really did a dumb move .. but good you are going to learn from here to never trust your " friend".

But I actually like the channel at the same time , if I upload bad videos to my channel wont that damage my channel and ruin my channel of monteization(even though I’m accepted)

if you have access to the adsense and live in the same country, change the info, thats it, adsense lets you change all of the info as long as your in the same country regardless

Change the info and recovery thats literally it, if its pin verified i believe youll have to get a new pin sent out in the mail

thats the thing he signed my youtube channel to an adsense account connected to his email , I saw this before but this was when we were sharing accounts and he didn't scam me. But I recently closed the adsense for my youtube channel/email that is linked to his adsense account which holds my youtube montezation . But I cant get rid of the adsense account he opened with my youtube channel , since I don't have his email anymore. And I can't reopen a new adsense account with my email , since theres already an existing one(old friend that betrayed me)

it doesnt matter, adsense is only linked to ip

heres 2 options, you can run unlimited adsense in incognito mode

ctrl + shift + n, so thats not an issue either way

You can always make or buy another adsense, and activate it, if it says you already have another adsense account, i believe you can send a message to google live chat about it and have it removed

At the end of the day though just make another account, if theres an issue then contact google, either way you can be logged in to 50 adsense in incognito without an issue


to make an adsense you have to add 4000 hours and 1000 subs to a channel btw, and then it triggers when you go to submit for review

yeah I already pass those requirements , its just that my old friend made an adsense account conntected to my yt channel when we were sharing.

And what do you mean to contact google , it has no options for me to contact them about this besides the
remove copyright but I don't know if they'll count that as adsense

If you own the YouTube channel then disconnect it from that AdSense account and connect it to your own AdSense.

If you can't open a new AdSense account because he controls an old one with your credentials, then this is fraud. Report it to YouTube/Google.

Are you able to contact your friend?

Have you asked him to fix the ownership/identification issues or you will report him for fraud?

Is he deliberately committing fraud because he is a duck (sic) and wants to screw you over?

Is he unmoved by the prospect of losing his adsense/YT for fraud or getting in legal trouble?

More like enemies at this point. How would I report it to youtube/google?
