I found very profitable adult niche, but on the first page all sites very old, at least 10+ years old each site. But most of them have 10-50k backlinks from 100-200 domains. DA 15-20 if that matters. The question is should i need also old domain to beat them or I can do it with 1 year old website?

Age of site does not matter.

Only link and content matter.

Well... im by no means an expert. But i would imagine age does matter, at least a little tiny bit.

Take 2 websites, everything about them identical exactly the same To a T. One is 10 years old and the other 10 weeks old. I would imagine the age there would give the older website a push and help it rank better.

Age of domain has only a small impact. Focus on backlinks and Content. Maintain the site legit and trusted. Build quality links with pace and increase its authority, eventually you can outrank them.

Choose the old domain it will help to increase ranking. Give a quality backlink and unique content to improve traffic.

@Scorpion Ghost

Age matters if site is new.

But his website is already 1 year old.

Domain Age off course matters. But if you are just starting, its better to find low competition keywords in same niche.
I would suggest going after keywords with 200-400 monthly visits and start building content/videos on it. Linkbuilding to these pages from web2.0 will help.

Now I'm more confused. The half say matters the other half say no matter.

I saw aged websites ranking without any long content or too many backlinks many times, even the web 2.0's.
Domain age matters? yes it does
Could you outrank them? You can do it if you have more content and more backlinks :) :)

So domain age matters but not that much as backlinks. If let's say 1 years old website has more backlinks from the same quality sites as the competitors, it can outrank the older websites?

Do you think after 2-3 years age domain Google gets more trust to that domain and it's almost the same as 10-20 years old domains?

Age matters but with that quality of backlink, trust flow and content is always the king.

Keep going :)

Thats not necessary. Dont only rely on backlink, if Site A has better content it will anyways rank higher. If Site B has higher backlinks and Better content and more fresh content than site A, then it will go up (domain age won't be considered here).

If it is a competitive niche, it is better to choose an aged domain. To increase the traffic build a series of backlinks, and update the content with good quality.
