Be Honest... Would you pay for targeted Instagram Leads?

Would you ever pay money for an email list of relevant Instagram Influencers or other social media platforms like (Youtube / Twitter)?

The idea goes something like this:

1. Search some keyword like "Health and Fitness"
2. Find all the related Instagram's and their contact email
3. Download it to a CSV

If not, why not?

If so, how much would you pay per lead?

If u are busy and have the money yes u should pay but if u are not busy and have free time u can do it by yourself.

You would need a lot more metrics than that for it to be viable and they are not leads unless you contact them and they reply that they are interested in whatever you offer. Until then they are just scraped data.

Great answer. Indeed, there would need to be more metrics like engagement and such. You make a fantastic point about leads not being leads until contacted. However, sending out millions of email is perhaps not the best way to approach that problem. I could provide a capability to test email them. Let's say a user searches for "Health and fitness" and my UI brings up a list of all the relevant Instagram accounts. I could have a button that will send out a test email that can be used to gauge response time and of course check if the email is valid in the first place.

How do you determine value? @GringoMonkey said metrics and contact legitimacy. Anything else? Would you purchase for say 10 cents a name? Perhaps I can go to competitors for their quoted value.

Hey this is a good point. I guess some marketers can just do their own research and reach out to influencers who they think would be a great fit for their product? I guess all this would do is save time and allow a bigger list that they can apply filters to.

Your still confusing leads and scraped data.

Without emailing and them replying they are interested it is not a lead, so you cannot sell them as a lead.

Scraped data maybe $0.10 for 1000.
Lead data maybe $1000 for 1000.

Great insight. I meant to say scraped data and not actual leads. Although I would say emails tied to Instagram can qualify as a lead (or else why would they make their email public). I'm not sure those rates are accurate but the general idea that leads are worth way more than scraped data is something I can agree with.

I just called several email list companies and the average so far is about .20 cents a "scraped" email.

Yes and I'm selling them on Fiverr, there is a great demand

if you can laser target the usernames and provide more infos such as ER etc you can cold mailing cold mailings with tailor made offers

It is not a lead unless they express interest, otherwise you may as well try and sell me the phone book and tell me it is a book of phone leads! And if i turn to the plumbing section i get targeted plumbing leads! It's just data!

Unless you can find real idiots as clients you will never get anywhere near $0.20 for just a publicly available scraped email from ig.

Yes and no, I agree with you about "buy scraping tools and do it yourself" but at the same time you miss two things: scraping on IG is not so easy anymore and an entrepreneur won't buy a tool but he will buy the result.

I know how to scrape and I do it as well but as soon as I have more clients I will pay for them as my time worth more.
