3 Seconds latency is Big for cloaker?

Hello:

We are making a new cloaker service , we discover that our security check time take between 2.5-3 seconds till determine where we send this visitor.

This latency is the time spent when user website send us the required infos we need to analysis till we send our replay to user website.

We try our best to minimize that time but it doesn't getting lower.

This time may be go bigger if member website is far a way from our servers.

Do you think this latency is very big?

Yes. Sorry, but 3 seconds is way too much. That's 3 seconds for the redirect + however long it may take to load the content itself. Visitors will be put off by that.

We use strict security check, if we lower the security check time we became much lower But in this cause we risk members Ads accounts.

Comparing to other services what is the average time for that services?
