It depends on how you act / react to this news.
There's no confirmed announcement I have seen that states this is a permanent commission cut. If anyone has proof of this, feel free to add a screenshot.
The C/S staff member who told someone it was not just while the CoronaVirus was in play, was probably the last person on the ladder who'd be told this.
Think about things logically here. Amazon stopped a lot on suppliers sending things into FBA warehouses unless it was classed as essential products.
As people are stuck at home and a lot of stores are closed, they have to order online for some products. Where is the go-to marketplace? Amazon.
I've seen my figures increase a lot this past few weeks, and people are buying more and more food stuff, vitamins etc.
A lot of products are selling out on Amazon, stocks are low and slower getting replaced. It could be argued therefore that Amazon have enough traffic coming in as it is.
Advantages of keeping using Amazon, it's only a 24 hour cookie but you earn on everything someone buys after going through 1 of your links.
Once on Amazon, people often buy something, either in place of what they were looking for or in addition to that item.
Amazon converts so well, plain and simple. They are a trusted brand and deliver globally.
Do Walmart or Target deliver globally? Not that I am aware of.
Neither of these alternative sites have the wide range of products available.
Will the commissions be raised back after the Corona Virus and lockdown etc are ended? Hopefully / possibly. However, until there is an official announcement from Associates ( not just from a CS person ) we'll have to wait and see.
Read a lot of posts that starting amazon affiliate site isn't worth anymore mainly because; high content costs ( google wants quality now), 100 + posts a must now for authority, low filpping profit...
But I also think, lesser people are going to start amazon aff sites now which reduces competition provided niche is not already saturated.
Amazon coversion rate will increase in the coming times as people are going to avoid brick mortar shops...24 hr cookie will continue to bring benefit ...
I think with right niche, moderate cost control of content, a guy can still make $800-1000 per month.. from the earlier $1400-$1600...
What you think?
