Uber cabs at discount

Hey ppl,

It's been 3 years that I have been hearing about the Uber cabs getting at discounted rates. Well discounted rates does not mean 5%, 10%, 15% etc. I mean discount as much as 50% and more.
Isn't it a bit shocking? When I first heard about it I was so curious to check it for myself, but was little worried and didn't believe it. Then once I made my mind and took a ride from one of the sellers from the UBER CAB DISCOUNT.
I completed the ride and you won't believe what happened. I was only been charged 40% of the the ride amount.
Could anyone guess my feeling that time? Is my first question and how did this discount happen? is my second question.

Yes, I suppose. I tried India, USA and Canada. They do Uber eats as well

No that's incorrect. This really happens. There are sellers who give this discounts. I can prove it.

No brother I did not have the coupon. It's the sellers have it from which I took ride from. And yes as u mentioned this can make a hell lot of money.

Why dont you ask seller? Or take another uber drive and ask that seller if he discounts you.
Its apparent nobody knows the answer or has hard time understanding you.
So make the question clear or ask uber driver the question.
