For my luck, I am not doing Amazon affiliate. But when I have heard that Mr.bezos slashed the affiliates from 8% to 3% and use these funds to pump https://www.investopedia.com/amazon-stock-hits-all-time-high-4802666 I was felt bad for my friends. But I guess this is the right time for Mr.bezos to prove to the world that even when the world is at an economic crash - he is still one step ahead of everyone. congrats bro

Anyways... I am not sure if you do know but some people doing dropshipping from Walmart, Overstock, Amazon, etc.

Now, you can take this opportunity to upgrade yourself and truth is... that you don't need more than $5 for a domain to start. because Shopify is offering to their developer's free stores without a subscription that costs you $30. So you can register yourself as developer and start building your store from scratch. It's much quicker than doing it with Wordpress. you can register https://developers.shopify.com/ as a developer and start your free store - Until you hit 50 sales.

Now, after you registered for Shopify, you can use a Shopify https://apps.shopify.com/search?q=dropshipping+amazon and start import products from Amazon to your Shopify store. once your Shopify store is ready, all you have to do is raise the prices by 15% and change the URLs in your money site to your own dropship store. when you got an order - ship it to your client directly from Amazon.

''but bro, my customer will order from my site and see Amazon packaging"'
Sir, your customer does not give a fuck (usually) about a few dollars here and there.

It will cost him more money & time to return the package back to you. and he already has in his hands what he was looking for, would you return it for a couple of bucks? some will, some not. but most of them will not. chill

I hope it helps you

Good stuff. Whatever social media networks, large companies like Amazon or anyone else come up with, there's always the alternative way, a twist, that someone will come up with.

Thanks for sharing.

Great idea, but your store isn't going to convert like Amazon, and how would you deal with returns? Your customers would also never buy from you again because they'll feel you ripped them off.

First of all Amazon is offering an FBA services. It means that many stores around the world is using their wearhouse to store products and ship. even if they are not being sold on Amazon. something to think about...

Secondly, you ask Amazon to return item, they give you a shipping label and you give that shipping label to your client. easy af.

+ you will have a database of buyers. and complete control over prices.

Actually, when I checked Shopify regarding their developer option about 2 weeks ago, they changed it so that you can't publish your store unless you pay for the plan. So they don't give out free stores up to 50 sales. Unless they changed it back recently which would be great.

Great idea, what's the best way of promoting the store, & how much would you spend ?

Why only amazon? we should use wallmart ebay and many other sites. depends upon the customer's country requirement

You didn't address the part where you piss off your buyers for reselling an Amazon product to them that they could have gotten at a cheaper rate directly from Amazon.

Making money online is all about providing value. Affiliates make money because they provide value in the form of reviews. So the big question is... what value would your store provide that would make customers happy to buy from you at a higher price? What would they gain by buying from you instead of going directly to Amazon?

If you can't answer this question, then this is a recipe for failure. I take back my first statement where I mentioned this was a great idea. It's not. It's a horrible one.

It's an interesting method and I love to see new ideas, but now people will have to manage an extra site. Some people can barely manage one blog, the complexity of managing an entire store is no joke, and some people will have to choose between writing content, doing SEO or fulfilling orders. As I said, I'm not complaining, I love to see new ideas being shared here. :)

Dear, this method is working for me on eBay in 2020. with hundreds of other competitors doing the same. copy & paste some of the bestsellers on amazon you will find out hundreds of dropshippers on ebay. so you can claim for ''failure'' when the fact is - people making money.

Secondly, you provide value when you write the reviews on your site. I never mentioned that value isn't an important factor. it actually it is.

If you want to keep working for J.bezos for 3% - you are welcome. to me, this is the real failure. when you invest your whole life in 1 site and then Mr. Bezos cutting your earnings by 40%.

goodluck

Well, if it's working for you, I can't say anything more. It just didn't seem like a good idea, and it has its drawbacks (like lower conversions). Might be something to consider if Amazon eventually terminates their affiliate program.

How are you receiving payments, PayPal or 2checkout?
