Correct sir! I believe it treats them like a 301 but I guess we'll see :)
For a moment I thought you are some of those dear sir guys lol :p

I will wait for the results. Good idea tho.

Already been there. I've redirect some high DA PA tumblrs on some adult keywords, with JS, if keys are medium to low competition will go up for sure.

JS redirects are like 301 in eyes of G and will pump them in WMT pretty fast.

Curious to know the outcome of this. I believe it will go up.

I will wait for the results though

I think it'll go up, but it'll be a slow burner. Looking forward to the results on this one.
The beauty of Mumsnet is that if people are still commenting on it, this'll help to push up the ranking too.

Interesting. Did the rankings stick?

With little dance now and then, yes! But only on medium and low competition ones, and ofc medium and long tails!

Do you have any data on that to show to the class?
Nothing to prove here is not my thread, I've just been there since years, so you take it or test it, your call, at the end of the day you have nothing to lose!

It wasn't a jab i was just curious as i always thought crawlers ignored javascript, like Iframes and redirects

It'll going down first, but after few days it begin to going up up up up and again down for some points. But it will stay in the up from the beginning point for sure :D

You have consider something very simple: regardless if you linkbuilding from those 2.0 or use a redirect which in fact via javascript is a way of linkbuilding inherently, what you are doing is throwing to your MS a bunch of tier 1 (or even tier 2) links
Those 60 PA sites have been probably blasted (60PA shit sites are blasted sites 100% of the times).

So essentially you are playing with dices: throwing tier 2 links to your site. It can go up (one or multiple 2.0 properties have some good authority incoming links worth tier 1 that are passed to your MS linkjuice-wise), it can stay still (google ignores the links for the spammyness) or you can get penalized (Google algo clearly detects the malice of your action).

Just like in any blasting/tiering project.

In the case of Tumblr, DA PA grows based on likes/notes, every blogger on Tumblr which like your post gives you a backlink, this is how Tumblr works, so with Tumblr, this theory not applies.

Can you show me one example? (60PA+)

Can you show me one example? (60PA+)
https://explorando-mx.tumblr.com/ - 59 PA, have just one single backlink from other domains, except those from other Tumblr.
https://rosemilch.tumblr.com/ - 54 PA, have just two backlinks from other domains, except those from Tumblr.

I don't have time right now to check my whole list of expired ones, but same goes in 95% of cases on Tumblr, no matter the PA or DA.

You can keep those two tumblr's!
