Hello,
i'm wondering why some marketing services sellers prefer that you send money manually to their paypal email even if some have the possibility of automatic express checkout ?
thanks.

I do that as well.

It feels safer "knowing" and talking to the client before they send the payment, especially when doing stuff with PayPal which is like walking on thin ice.

I was reading how PayPal was against selling black hat marketing services and people were getting their accounts disable.

Obviously, there are other reasons but this one is the only one I remember!

so this feeling of trust is the only reason ?

Yup, that's about it.

If I speak to the person before at least "I know who it is".

I have no problem created an automatic checkout for Bitcoin or Card for example, but with PayPal is a whole different story.

Safety always!

Yes, It is good to communicate with the buyer manually before accepting paypal's payments

OK, but everyone is talkign about safety from a "feeling" perspective. is there any objective or technical reason that make you feel more safe when dealing with paypal payments manually ?

well for me, i need to know who sent paypal to my balance and for what purchase.
i will hate to get trouble ,because someone sent me money ,and i use it without knowing.

There are services like PayHip to avoid such issues.
You know what you being paid for.

Probably they don't want to make the details of their paypal account (name, address etc.) public and don't want competitors, law enforcement etc snooping on them.
