Creating a new thread is also considered as a post. You need to have 100 posts before you can upgrade to Jr.VIP. Remember, there are some sections where your posts do not contribute to your total post count: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/a-list-of-sections-with-restrictions.1051614/

I would also recommend you to take a look at the forum rules, especially this part:

On here it’s a good idea to read the rules though, they’re not your typical (ignored) TOC, they’re a manual for using the forum and if you keep up to date with the rules you’re more likely to have a good time here and also you’ll get more from the forum in the long run.

the terms are linked at the bottom of the site and also many of the sub forums have sticky posts with additional rules in them.
