My suggestion make some portofolio if you haven't . than make your linkedin profile as profesional as you can, start promoting your service there. you can also start in fiverr or upwork, but you need to buy some review there.
If you promote it you can give 1 - 3 free project to random client. or friend so they can help you advertise your skill.
Have done all of this... have a Linkedin profile with 3 testimonials... have 5-6 websites in my portfolio [free projects] , but not sure how to sell my services

Do a competition to win a free website + 12 months hosting - make it a decent deal.
Promote it on social media. Require entrants to share the competition (more promotion).
collect details for all entrants.
announce a winner, build them a site, do a testimonial and write-up for additional promotion.
Contact all of the entrants afterwards and offer them tiered discounts - a few 50%, few 30%, few 20% and a few 10%.
Boom. You can’t not make sales from that.
