Hello

I used to be good in keywords ranking during 2015-2016 but in this days.. Is not stable i get position #3-4 most of keywords but after 1-2 hours it going back to #10-11 until it disappear.

I used good aged channel with 10 old videos count. Also sending good views %70-%80 likes shares comments.

The competitors their videos stays for weeks in position #1-2, I'm sure they're not sending good views as mine.

The thing is that in (after) 2016 the algorithm changed in favor to watchtime rather than views
That explains why you crushed your competition back then
Nowadays even channels like nocopyrightsounds or so with more than 20 million subs make maybe half the money or less than in 2016, my music channels made 2x more money back then compared to 2017
Since also spotify etc got more and more popular, music channels suffer even more

Livestreaming was an option to workaround that but as so many are doing this in like every imaginable music category, this is no easy way anymore either, i used to get 100 viewers and good sub rates but it also went down when more and more did it in 2018

I think the revenue also dropped because of increased competition. Due to more competition the views get distributed among various channels and thus less revenue.

Yea but music channels have been affected the worst of all i think since of all reasons above
But it is what it is :D
(exception: those vevo channels making those millions while promotional channels and lyric channels etc die out)

One guy offered 750$ in 2016 to buy my back then 12k subs 200-300.000 views music channel, in 2018 no one even wanted it for 200 bucks, it s crazy how the game changed

(This is not soft selling, i wont sell my channel)

Sometimes I think that future is even more bad for creators as it is getting very crowded there.
