I'm not really a big fan of Big G, but, it's a private company offering a service (search and more).
They're not a social service. They can rank or not rank whoever they want.

If they decide to rank websites based on how many eggs a website owner has in his fridge,
that's their decision.
If they decide to rank a website even though the owner has no eggs in his fridge, that's their decision.

Moral of the story, make sure you have some eggs in your fridge
