Changing old insta acc to slightly different niche okay?

Hey quick question. I have a old insta account with ~7k followers in the pc niche. Would switching the account name and changing it into a gaming account be a terrible idea? Or is this possible with minimal issues engagement wise

Switching is never good, but with these close niches it could work without too big of a loss in followers and engagement.

From what I've experienced, it's allowed on Instagram.

Expect a drop in engagement but I guess you'll be growing in the new niche.
