Most of Hollywood used to use: Avid Media Composer
My angst is that it's relatively inexpensive at the onset, but if you want functionality and special effects - you have to purchase a TON of plugins.
That stated, Adobe Premier Pro is now becoming the go to tool for video editors in Hollywood. It also helps that Adobe targets schools and students with a huge discount to get them hooked on their products before they graduate.
Lastly, I would be remiss if i didn't state that Final Cut Pro X has a huge following among Hollywood geeks.

There are a number of Video Editing Apps that can produce those types of videos.
- After Effects
- Adobe Premeir Pro
- Final Cut Pro X
- Filmora 9
- Filmora pro
- And many others
Furthermore, the greater the degree of difficulty of the video in terms of split screens, transitions, motion graphics, kinetic typography, color temperature, compositing, cross fading, etc., etc., the more experience the video editor must have using the more complicated video editing software; there's no way around that!
Regarding the software applications that CLAIM anyone (including beginners) can quickly learn and master video editing; such claims are a PIPE DREAMS!
I know plenty of (smart) people who purchased Movavi, Filmora, Magix, etc., and now those software applications are gathering dust because their learning curves were drastically more than what those companies perpetrated.
A few things concerning the 2 videos that you posted:
- a novice or a newbie, would be hard pressed to produce those videos
- There are a few glithes in the transitions that discerning eyes will catch, (Bad transitions resulting in too much white space: 0:32, 0:36, 1:11)
- They got away with using copyrighted music
- Aside from those issues, the video story board is perfect for their target market!
- They did an AWESOME job in making it go viral
i dont its as hard as u make it sound...several channels in the similar niche are doing the same type of videos which make me think they are using a software that requires minimum effort to churn out these 3D animations. either that or they are paying someone to help them produce the videos which i doubt. thanks for your reply anyways!

Just some questions I had
- Where do I start as a complete beginner? I really want to use da Vinci because I don't like adobe and I probably can't run it on my pc.
- How do you find clients?
- Are you editing for multiple people at a time?
- How important is a solid PC? I am using a low end laptop now and was thinking of buying a gaming PC with decent specs
- How much do you earn a month as a video editor for these people (you don't have to answer if you don't want to)
- Where do you get your royalty-free music from?
No matter what video editing software you are using, you are most likely going to need an up to date machine = in order to render timely and properly.
That stated, if you are just starting off and for whatever reasons, want to shun Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects, I would suggest Filmora 9.
The free version of Davinci is really designed to get you to purchase the full version. And after you purchase the full version, you'll be pressed to purchase the various add ons. The other issue is that a lack of templates means that you'll have to get your skills up really quickly in order to create videos from scratch.
With Adobe After Effects there are tons of amazing templates; of course editing them is not a walk in the park, but once you learn, you'll be on your way. Duly note: there are some templates for Adobe Premier.
If you are multitasking, meaning you are editing multiple projects simultaneously, you will need multiple machines. I've got one machine that is an i7, when I'm rendering Adobe, I have another machine that I work on Filmora 9, Camtasia and ProShow Producer with.
You find clients like any other business find's clients. Think about this carefully; the average person who needs video editing IS NOT going to purchase and learn Adoble, Filmora, DaVinci, iMovie, Cyberlink, Corel, etc., etc. Even if they are convinced by these companies that video editing is a cinch with their software, they quickly find out - that was false advertising! I know plently of people who purchased
The thing about "strictly Video Editing" is that once a person gets good, they can usually secure a portfolio of clients and will be turning down potential clients after that point. I have buddies who only edit videos and they haven't skipped a beat - even with the Shelter In order. All of them edit for Youtubers and they are KILLING IT! You really want these types of clients (recurring) to be your bread and butter and then the 1 shot projects to be your icing on the cake.

i want to know witch program is best for video editing adobe or sony vegas pro?
Haha I saw this and was about to ask OP exactly what constitutes his 7 years of exp with stock templates but I see someone beat me to it. To the people that's asking, if you want to use something that is not CPU heavy, go for Da Vinci Resolve 16, the free version. It is industry standard for color grading but they have up their game in the editing sphere and tbh, if I wasn't so used to premire pro, I would switch over due to its fluidity and a decent interface as well. Tutorial wise just type da vinci resolve, if you're actually looking to be a video editor, it's worth putting hours into picking the program up and edit. Video is definitely the future of content (IMO anyway) and having the most relevant skill in your toolbox is never a bad thing. What is bad is claiming you have 7 years of exp and posting your videos in, of all the places, dailymotion.... Like come on that's a dead giveaway for me haha

Love what this thread turned out to be! Now that the professional video editor here is @Crewchief007 , hopefully I can ask a question here as well. I've picked up video editing and been using resolve for like 3 months and recently jumped over to Adobe Premiere and After Effect and Adobe Photoshop. And it took some time to get used to it and I've been loving the change so far.
I'm nowhere near as a professional editor or anything as such.. but I really wan't to take my videos to next level and make them look as cool and as professional as possible.. especially as I'm just about to monetize my channels.
I'm now in the middle of this choice: 1. Buy Adobe Transition/Effects packs from Videohive etc OR 2. Buy viddyoze Software..
I'm specificly looking for more cool effects for my Logo and intros/outros, lower third text templates and amazing transitions etc. For both Instagram Stories and ads and for Youtube videos.
Any suggestions which way to go?
Still will be learning Adobe on the side as how to do all the effects and animations myself, but in dire need of speeding up and making the brand look more professional as the audience is getting quite huge and I have a certain standard to keep up.
** Looking for a good compromise between workflow and professional look!

Hi OP, thanks for your contribution.
Could you suggest a cheap/effective video editing software for Windows which will allow me to add simple watermarks throughout the video and ideally a logo at the beginning of the video.
Something cheap/cost effective would be a preferred option - but i would not like a 'freebee' watermark that are sometimes provided with freeware.
