How could REAL chatbots make money?

When I say real chatbot I don't mean these dumb bots that are basically interactive forms.

I mean bots that are able to extract your intention from free texts (within limits) and are able to handle simple conversations within a well defined conversion topic.

Building such bots is possible with current tech, but I am not that versed in monetizing chat bots and would love some idead for these kind of advanced chat bots.

"Dumb" bots also make money.

Advanced chatbots are usually created on frameworks by the big guys (my personal favorite is Microsoft Bot Framework with AI and NLP capabilities), but since they review data submitted to their framework, you can only do white/vanilla monetization.

Bear in mind, chatbots should be considered tools, not goals.
