PBN or Redirect? What would you do in this case?

I have created a money site on an auctioned domain (100 something RD - 30 something DR). The money site is on an inner page of that domain:
auctioneddomain.com/moneysite
The money site it self doesn't rank in the Top 200 for the keyword. I checked the competition and even on page 25 sites rank with links so I guess that's normal to be nowhere.

I have about about 8 PBNs (from 20 to 100 RDs). Shall I start pointing them to the money site or shall I redirect one of the PBNs and then point the rest? All PBNs are niche related.

What would you do in this case?

Redirection is risky process and you will not get 100% link power. You can gradually point some links to site and keep it safe so you can get benefit for long term.

I think that is the process more ever improve the link structure and you will get juice power.

What I meant was the overall link profile. I definitely can’t rank with a single link and pointing 10 PBNs and no other type of link is suspicious isn’t it? Last time I tried this (new site - no other type of links) I had zero results. I don’t wanna make the same mistake.

The reason why I wanted a redirect was to have a diluted link profile so I can use exact matches with my PBNs.

Have you rebuilt only that one inner page on your auction domain or others too? Are most links pointed to that one page or to other pages too? What about the homepage? Any internal 301s? It's a bit hard to give recommendation without knowing the domain structure.

In any case, have you made sure to use proper interlinking to let the link juice flow through your site?

Regarding your PBN questions.

Of course you can link out from your PBNs, if they are absolutely footprint free. Don't redirect your PBNs to your inner pages or your homepage, tho. You already have a solid foundation (auction domain with RD100), so there's no need for that. PBNs are great to get out of the sandbox and they work incredibly well for sniping exact match and partial match anchors.

I'd recommend to get 8 quality articles and link 4 to your auction domain homepage using 4 different branded anchors.

• Branded + Partial Exact Match
• Branded + Phrase Match
• Branded + Generic Phrase
• Raw URL

and 4 to your inner page using your exact match and longtail anchors.

At the same time you should start building out your contextual link profile with guest posts, link insertions, editorials, and focus on diversifying your anchor profile with those. Also work on branded links. Citations, crowd links, press releases and web 2.0s work great for that. Keep link velocity in mind though.

Your overall anchor profile should be:

• Branded Anchors (see above): 70-80%
• Generic Anchors: 10%
• Longtail: 5-7%
• Exact Match: 3-5%

That's usually a pretty safe anchor ratio. You can try to push the boundaries on some, but keep an eye on your results and be ready to adjust accordingly.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a 301 redirect.

The things that a seller did for one of my moneypages.

-scrape websites to check if they could find a website that has links from DA 90+ news sites
- buy the domain and redirect it to my money page
- build pbn's to the 301 redirect (95% link power)

The older the domain for 301 the less risks you take

Thank you for the detailed response, I really appreciate it.
The PBNs I have are all Niche Related, their power is low (compared to what I could've gotten for the same price) but they are the same niche category. I rebuilt the old pages, the ones I could see on tools (including PDFs and Files) and I added a bunch of other content and let them age for a year.

Now a few weeks ago, I took one of the PBNs the strongest one (still not linked - the one with 100RD) and created the inner page to rank with it and to use it as a money site. The homepage it self does have 100RDs but the innerpage doesn't, it has 0 links, which is why I was scared of starting with PBNs on it. Any suggestions where I can get Citations, crowd links, press releases and web 2.0s?

Contextual? Branded?


Do you link out from your homepage to the inner page you want to rank (using the keywords you want to rank for as anchors)? You want to make sure that your inner page receives a a lot of lovely link juice from your homepage (where most RDs are pointed to). Internal links can do that for you. Use them.
Have you rebuilt any other inner pages on the domain? Everything is indexed correctly, right?

Have you added the site to GSC to see if there are any penalties?

Are you sure that the domain itself has not been penalized in the past?
Have you checked with wayback that is has not been used as a PBN or for other spammy sh*t before?
How does the anchor profile of your money site look right now?

Mostly branded, the domain it self was an employee union/rights website (I am trying to rank staffing services), most of the links are short abbreviation of the website and are located on the homepage and a few dozen pages that I've rebuilt.

Yes I did, on the homepage, I also added the money page in the top menu and any other type of page that had links.
Everything is indexed fine and the post got indexed within like 3-4 hours after I posted it.

Yes, I did added the page on search console, no messages, no errors (only one from a missing page that I should rebuild today). I did all checks and it checks fine.

I did had previous success with PBNs, so I know what to get, however I only did it for clients, when I did it for my own sites I rarely had results, I guess that was because my sites were new and had no other links which I why I was scared to do that on this domain since the innerpage also doesn't have links, even though the homepage does.

The anchor text is 90% brand, the short abbreviation, the long abbreviation, the keyword the website was about and the rest are the anchors the studies the organization was doing.
