saw small increase after abandoning the site

im still poor af but the visitors increased.

- site is 2 years old in total
- (current domain is 3 months old only tho, i redirected the site)
- have 40 HQ posts
- good ui/ux
- have some links i made long ago, mb about 150-400 in total. mostly indexed. all done manually

visitors increased from 16 to 50 per day +/- suddenly

will it keep increasing? i would like to work on website more but idk ill ever make any sensible money from it. i do have adsense ads and some small clicks.



i swear if i had 200 visitors per day at least rn it would be enough to convince me to continue working on the ssite

Are you tracking any keywords? Can you see where the traffic is coming from?

why? not tracking anything no,but i have data in webmaster tools and analytics. i use it only to see the graph going up/down tho because analytics is too complicated to use

If you are not tracking anything you can't judge the traffic peak, you may have some keywords that have started ranking or they are just bots

You can use ahrefs to see what keywords you rank for.

Add some backlinks some more easy keywords and see if you’re getting a traffic spike if you see then continue building the site

If you are not tracking anything you can't judge the traffic peak, you may have some keywords that have started ranking or they are just bots

no, the average position of all kws of all pages significantly went up. if it was just 3 kws then the change would be so significant in the graph:

that line is position of thousands of kws of 40 pages with long articles. 3 keywords significantly ranking wouldnt change whole graph. either google update or google noticed some good signals/things about my site

In this case, use any tool you have to check what is ranking and focus on those keywords + add backlinks
