Just looking at it briefly it's quite a competitive term. The top three sites have around 50k links and the keywords in the title.

It is possible to rank but it would take months and lots of hard work (or money). Is it worth it?

As has been said by squelsh and LaoTzu, it is doable, but any SEO of value takes time, effort and a strategy. BHW is filled with information if you care to do a bit of searching, you'll likely find out how. To hire someone with experience, isn't cheap, but likely you can find some on BHW that will give you go (at least as a test) very cheap. Among other things, I do SEO for a client in the financial biz... very competitive,,,, we work on SEO for his site on a continual basis, and even then it's difficult since there is so much competition.

Based on your keyword, your goal is very possible, especially with the keyword in the domain.
