Ah that's interesting I knew about the schools Thursday last week (not to start a pissing contents) lol..

I been told to expect pubs and clubs to officially close on weekend starting Friday and full lock down will happen next week BUT that could just be London.

Police from my source have been told to keep cars topped up due to a worse case fuel supplies being interrupted.

Not heard anything about being shot at. Or Prince Philip.

I can't believe the shot at or networks going off because its not happening anywhere else. IF it was that bad would see more on social media despite them clamping down on videos and photos of things happening to other people..

Phone networks been dropping like flies this week in UK "it's because so many people are working from home" - doesn't make sense, people's phones are connected 24/7 - I think is to prepare for "phone networks in London are down because everyone is at home - and on their phones".

Phone networks go down all the time. I doubt there has been the same amount of people all trying to stream or download all at the same points during the day there is normally a break in services with people being told to "work" so I can't believe phones will go down they may due with stress while network is loaded and figured out but to turn it off .. nah I can't believe that IF That was the case this whole thing is much bigger.

AND if it is that much bigger then fuck me global governments have done a better job at controlling info and social media stuff than at any point before...

Mate kids are getting ill from it.

Cody [forget his surname] University Hospital Hartlepool - 7 years old, seriously ill with pneumonia from it - parents posted on FB, ordered to take it down to "avoid panic".

My son - 15 years old - comes home from school today, the kid he sat next to yesterday is in local hospital with coughing and fever, suspected to have it.

Sisters best friend - her sister head pharmacolgist at a major UK hospital - kids in teens on ventialtors.

They aren't telling the truth to "avoid panic" which makes people behave innapropriately and creates more problems.

My wifes school finally will close Friday (UK, Wales) so her and the kids are home till whenever... We will then be on an official "lockdown" so just going to ride all of this out then. My 10 yr old daughter starts her first job Monday packing orders - don't know if I'm more proud of the fact she has her first job or the fact I don't have to pay her a wage...

Royal Mail won't come and pick up off me SO I now have to drop off to the local station so that's my own point of contact (weak point) for the moment.

You know the old Tea Time Britain stories when everyone after Eastenders almost crashed the power grid because half the country of more boiled a kettle at the same time?

Well that's not happened since because they are prepared for it.

I bet no mobile network experienced the amount of bandwidth it got hit with ALL at the same time by kids, adults etc all at home with nothing else to do bar the internet. Would be breaks with kids being in school etc, people working and so on. Servers go down all the time with traffic, mobiles are no different it's a network.

I just want to say thank you to @bartosimpsonio for this post. I read it the day it was posted and stocked my kitchen cupboards up soon after. My hubby thought I was crazy. Now the UK is on the brink of being locked down: schools are closing, vulnerable people told to self isolate, supermarket shelves empty as people panic buy but my family have everything they need. I'm in UK - was told on Monday schools would shut Friday, it's just been announced.

Now what I've been told that should create shockwaves (well at least around UK).

The Army is currently being deployed into London for a total lockdown at 5pm Friday - total lockdown = no one in, no one out, no leaving house, etc. Also phone networks off, so no incoming or outgoing comms.

Apparently in London the virus spread is totally out of control and is utter carnage, figures being released are bunkum - believe or not, you'll all know 5pm Friday GMT.

As things progress may well end up where looters and failure to comply = shot on sight.

Another source (not sure this is real or not, other is solid this don't know) - Prince Philip is dead, succumbed to Covid19 but will be passed off as natural causes.

I am not 100% certain on all of these points, so I will not comment on all of them. However, one thing, I am ex UK armed forces (and I highly doubt I am the only one on here), but, even in war times, in war ridden countries, we have rules of engagement. Nowhere in those does it say shoot a civilian for being outside.

I will agree that I may have missed something and be behind the times, but really? Shoot a civilian on sight for being outside? I would hate (or love) to see the claims after that first shooting. Things would go very wrong very quickly.

I am not going to get into the politics of that. But that was a single killing with the suspicion of firearms. (Rightly or wrongly, they had a motive).

Doesn't really justify a shoot on sight order. Perhaps I am being a little defensive here, but I feel like there is enough scaremongering going on without feeling like you will be shot for going out of your home.

I agree with you, maybe fake news, and maybe you are right about the reference, but I would still like to see the source of info.

Shit has gone seriously wrong if a country with gun laws as strict as the UK can implement shoot on sight.

Do people in the UK still make a lot of phone calls, at least compared to the rest of the world?
