Hello
I have a house&outdoor blog that just got approved by adsense.
I need some help on putting ad placements for max revenue.
Most of the posts have 400-800 words along with 5-10 photos.
Can someone recomend me how many ad units should i put, what type of units and where should i put them ?
Thank you in advance.

The niche of your site literally doesn't play any role in the ad placement. The ads should be visible, with some above and some below the fold.
What is your ad network? AdSense?

I'd suggest starting with standard ad placements offered by your theme and/or WordPress widgets (considering your site on WordPress).
Let it run for a few days check performance on units, make necessary adjustments.

You can also check plugins like Ad Inserter for advanced implementation.

Thank you.

There is no specific number of units that you should or shouldn't use, it's up to you and whether you are happy with the performance of ads and the users. Below or above the images - is a matter of testing. If there would be a formula of success placements - we would all be using it.
