Hi all,

There is a lot of people panicking everywhere and while I'm not one of them I wanted to share this coronavirus tip that I got yesterday. It is very common sense thing that just makes complete sense but yet I've not seen it shared in the media which only promoted good hygiene which in itself is very common sense thing to do.

Anyways as it was reported that coronavirus only survives in certain temperature range and higher temperature kills it (30-35C). You should continue following all recommended hygiene steps and add something a little extra. If its not part of your daily routine you should start drinking hot beverages. It can be anything from tea, coffee, milk to even plain water. Drinking ind gargling hot liquids would help kill coronavirus if it got into your mouth / throat.

Another tip is to use hair dryer if you're coming from outside and want to disinfect your jacket or bag. You can just put hot air for a few minutes and create heatwave to kill and / or damage whatever bugs you might have on your items. I saw coronavirus explainer video on YT which explained how washing your hands with soap for 20 seconds gets rid of the virus. Soap is attracted to fat & water and when you wash your hands soap attaches to fatty membrane of the virus and at the same time it gets pulled by the water in your hand and that breaks virus cell membrane and you rinse out soap foam with broken coronavirus cells. If 20 seconds of hand washing can damage this virus imagine what 20 seconds of gargling with hot water or 30 seconds with hair dryer blasting your clothes.

Use these simple methods and spread them to your friends and family. This can add to our arsenal about things we can do to stay safe during this hyped up apocalypse. Stay safe my friends!

Okay but how does it survive and infect your lungs when body temperature is ~37C? Doesn't add up.

I'm not medical professional and cannot explain to you how this virus works once it enters your body. I was referring to high heat of liquid & hot air which can be upto 80C and this works when virus is still outside or just entering your system. If you are in public place and someone is coughing near you their cough can travel upto 3m radius. When you come back it doesn't hurt to drink hot liquid & blast your external clothes with hot air. You would be a lot better of if you do this rather than nothing doing anything at all.

Where I live in the summer it's 45°, I'm calm.

Could be on of the reasons it has spread less to Australia, they had warm weather on the peak of China outbreak, which is good news for those us in the Northern hemisphere

This is false and could be fatal if people believe this bullshit.

Top medical professionals still do not know how to deal with it. It's recommeded sometimes to stfu and leave possibilities open.

thats totaly wrong you need to have -0c thats why russian dont have it.

So when you come back home from outside go in the fridge for a half hour.
You also can let your children stay there for one hour to be more secure.

Don't spread misinformation.

The best advice for anyone is to keep washing your hands and stay indoors as much as possible. Many of us are blessed enough to work remotely, so we should definitely take advantage of that.

Look, drinking a hot drink every so often or blowing off your clothes with a hair dryer most probably won't hurt. But it's doubtful how much if at all it helps.

And the 30 - 35C temp killing off the virus outright can't be true in any way you look at it. Body temperature should deactivate the virus if that was the case.

There is a covid19 spread in countries which have their summer right now. And none of the interviews or articles I've read or watched ever tried to give a definite answer about if hot weather will have slowing effect on the contagion; they all just admit they don't know.

There is a study shows that chlorine dioxide is effective against Coronavirus. [source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15847934/ ].
According to this nice little abstract, we learn the following:
“2.19 mg/L of chlorine dioxide in wastewater ensures complete inactivation of SARS - CoV (Coronavirus).”

This comes from a study on the persistence of the virus in feces, urine and hospital wastewater and is providing instructions on how to treat/disinfect water to kill any coronavirus it might contain. The article suggests chlorine dioxide is 100% effective in killing coronavirus.

We already know CD is safe for ingestion by people and has been used for helping the body heal from any number of health conditions including autism, malaria, herpes, and AIDS.

Could CD possibly be a potential cure?

My family works in the healthcare and medical field. They are personally working close together with known specialists.

The specialist and the media strongly advices NOT to listen to any unserious/unknown resource as we do NOT know what exactly benefits and what harms the virus.

So @Stable Genius and @anetok you should be more careful spreading informations that could literally kill thousands

BHW should put a ban to all these Corona threads, this is just nonsense posted to get some attention

@Mods it is really time you do something about that as this can actually hurt people

Reported for misinformation

If you already have the virus in your mouth/throat, gargling or drinking hot fluids won't do anything. It replicates so fast that you won't be able to stop it. Just use social distancing until we know more information.

I've reported it too but the Staffs are not medical professionals so they can't do anything(which I think is a totally reasonable statement)...

I really like everyone here and I do not know who reviewed my report but it's a shame that threads like these without a source are allowed to stay up.

@BassTrackerBoats if you(or any other staff member) read this, I would suggest that people shouldn't be allowed to make such a statement without a source.

This is my personal opinion and I do not have anything against the current rules and regulations.

These coronavirus threads are getting out of hand. This is online marketing and SEO forum FFS.

Makes one wonder, what are you doing in the lounge reading them instead of browsing the according online marketing and SEO sub-forums?

So my advice to drink hot liquid could literally kill thousands? I don't think I advised people to drink hot ethanol or ammonia. Drinking hot tea & gargling your throat with salt water has long been a remedy to fight colds. How is my advice any different? If you are so interested in me providing source of reference here is one for you from WHO. I originally saw post by doctor on FB that referenced coronavirus & heat.

The link below is WHO talking about SARS coronavirus dying at 56C. This new virus is not the same but similar and my suggestion that 80C temperature could kill it or damage it is not science fiction.

Bro seems like bullshit your body is 36.6c normally yet people somehow catch that Covid. Am sure someone already pointed this out.

I didn't mean that the drinking itself will kill people, but the result of believing it and then being irresponsible with other methods of a potential cure.

Thank you for trying to provide a source. But I did my own research (literally 5 minutes) and I was able to find out that Hot tea for example (which is probably the same as hot coffee and other hot beverages) has a temperature of 60-65°C (http://www.academiaobscura.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/RSC-tea-guidelines.pdf) which is slightly above your stated source. BUT your source has done their research with a constant temperature. This means you have to drink constantly for 15 minutes to kill 10000 SARS coronavirus units (which isn't a whole lot) and bring the surface temperature of your inner body to the mentioned 56°C. I'm not making any statements that it might actually help the virus because it only raises the body temperature a little. I have no source for my statement so please don't straight up believe what I say.

Still, I'm NOT saying that this might NOT help. I'm just saying that it is too dangerous to put out unresearched (or not enough researched) information to the public. If it might actually help, there would be an official statement out there already. For future posts, always try to provide a source in the beginning so the reader himself can decide himself.

(By the way, I can't see anything in your original post that you said something about 80°C. And comparing it to a simple flu is insane...)
