Its not worst, its exactly as you read, everything needs to lock down to prevent spreading because hospitals will get filled up and you cannot serve to all people, you have to chose who to heal etc
Also coronavirus shows symptoms very late and lot of people dont know or dont quarantine themselves home, theres cases when you are so immune you wont notice a thing but you will spread the virus, and theres cases where shitty people wont tell they came from a country in red zone and infect others, 2 people in my country did that and countless of hospital staff are quarantined.
The shit is real and lockdown is the best thing

the weather is something that high possibly doesn't impact the virus at all - and panic is what made humans survive for thousands of years. Having a tested vaccine this year is also highly impossible. The shut down is not made for anything else then trying to prevent high numbers of people getting sick at the same time - 60-70% will get in touch with the virus no matter what you do - its all about not having 60-70% sick at a small timeframe.

They are closing it, becasue they have to play safe. They are politicians, authorities, rich.
What you expect them to be doing? Many of them surely think it's nothing, and know the numbers about cancer, flu, psychiatric drugs, whatever (just like most of us do). But surely many of them consider it serious.... It's the same like the discussion we have here.

Whatever they think personally, however, they have to play it the way they do from their position. We have the luxury to write, say, and even do whatever we want. We aren't public figures. They do not have such a luxury.

Well the big mistake that people make is thinking that it isn't necessary. Even tho we are all at loss(as a basketball coach I lost a lot of money rn) but people will bring their sick children no matter what to practice, and in this time others would panic and create a huge thing that could escalate. I am all for better safe than sorry, especially since the virus came from China, and they are known to be really cautious with human life.
Anyway it will be a big crash of the market, but we gotta stay safe and make the best of it after the crash,
