$150,000 by Dec 2020. Crushing it on Upwork

Awesome progress mate. If I share my Upwork profile via PM, can you give me an opinion on what I'm lacking?

You will need luck

He clearly knows what he's doing and doesn't need luck. All he needs is a way to scale what he is already doing and more haters that question his success and give him the motivation. You know you succeded once you get BHW haters :D

Not at all. I check upwork just a few times a day, and have set search filters for the jobs in my niche. I went to Goa last month for a short vacation, it did not affect my work in any way. In fact, I worked better while traveling.
Really don't understand how you are able to do that. There are a lot of competition on new offer. You will lose your clients, because they will find who complete offer faster and who are always online.

Not really. Jobs with that high supply of developers are bad anyway (low income), the best jobs I got there were from ppl that were desperate cos they were looking for some1 for months. Maybe it's cos I did programming gigs and most of ppl there are plain bad.

I agree if offer is long term like month or few months. But it is not freelance it is something near remote job. Yes I would like to have remote job, where you don't spent your time on finding clients and monitoring offers. But it requires 2-3 experience and hard skills, and good knowledge of English for remote job.

You don't need that good english, just good enough to write. When I started to be 'rude' and was telling clients that I don't have time for their useless skype calls and 'write what you want or bye', I often was getting job and when I asked them why you hired me they were telling something like 'you were cocky and cocky developers are good' xd But I recommend it only in programming niche for 1k$+ jobs & US/Austrlia clients (they are more easy-going).

Writing is a good knowledge of English. Also, Upwork requires video interview. I think you must have good speak English to get long offer from usa clients or to get remote job. What do you mean "programming niche for 1k$+ jobs"? You said like there are no competition on freelance market. There are 1000000 developers. And usa clients will pick the best dev who speak, write English, has +3 years job experience.

99% of devs there are junior-level, so yea there is competition in simple jobs, but for job for which there is even no answer in google there is no competition at all. For these simple jobs there are rates ranging 10-100$/day, but for some hard jobs you can get 1000$/daily or more (but sadly there are only few of them per month on upwork).

The less time I spend on BHW, the more money I make :)
