How should I promote myself?

Exactly, I just look at YouTube myself as a tool to promote, free advertising essentially. At the end of the day eyes are eyes, and traffic is traffic. Not to mention once something is on YT you can make use it of it through your own website, other forums or communities for sharing, etc. Cheers bruv, have a guud day!

You are right and he can also try to profit from it like creating tutorials and stuff.

The truth is: you need to get yourself out there so people can see you and what you are capable of.

Yeah, the only thing that is stopping me from YT is that I am not native English and also I am kind of shy so it is a huge barrier for me.
I was thinking of something else instead, will it work out if I will do a channel like Quantum Tech HD? (basically promoting other products and then promote them on Amazon with the Affiliates Program) . I know I am deviating from the graphic design niche but I learned graphic design for the money anyway so I have nothing against it if I change my path.
What do you guys think?

If video is hard for your language barrier, then blog, build a portfolio, market yourself through social media, start with lower prices, build a lot to make a big portfolio of professional build products.
Brand yourself. Don't show yourself as a lonely guy.
Small jigs are good as long as you are delivering a good product and can use them in your portfolio.
Don't underestimate the power of friends and family. If you are good they will work hard to spread your works to anyone.
Once you got a few products you can pay someone good to make video ads for you and reach a higher-paying user target.
You can then even start cold calling businesses.
