Something for the lurkers

I was lurking forever before I joined because all the recent posts are available to outside members.

Finally joined today because I want to connect with all the hard working people on here.

Maybe people simply want to read only and not participate in the discussion. There are people like that in real life and they freak me out lol

actually , include stalkers from other forum , they go expose your id here in BHW in another forum just because you are asking how to create another account because been ban in that forum , this is indirectly free ad for BHW too.
I think we should set up a secret sub forum here for Seasonal BHW members whereby we share tips etc to prevent lurker and newbie see it :P

I totally agree, looking forward to having a community around on our journey forward. I suspect having the perspective of an insider rather than an outsider will prove useful.

Do lurkers sometimes buy services in the forum

I have for years bought stuff from serviced I found via BHW without registering. Finally joined to actually use the Marketplace correctly.

I am guilty of being a lurker because I wasn't so sure of the legitimacy of this forum but as I read the posts on different topics I am impressed with the quality of the contents and strategies available here. I think a lot of people will find this forum invaluable

Hi there lurkers!

Yes we know you’re there. We’ve got tons of visitors who come to BHW every day without a registered account. You are most welcome here - in fact, loads of our members start out lurking on the forum for a little while before they decide to sign up. Because we value your attention (and let’s face it, your traffic), we thought you might appreciate a helping hand that’s just for you.

As a lurker, you can’t actually do anything on the forum (duh). But you can still read all of the nuggets of advice and IM goodness that we have to offer. When you think about it, starting out as a lurker is the safest way to ease yourself into our forum. You can still get some really great IM/SEO insights and ideas, all while you become familiar with the way we do things around here. By the time you’ve got a question and you’re ready to ask it, you’ll probably be more comfortable with our rules than a lot of our other newbies, which means you’re less likely to do something silly and get yourself an infraction.

Our newbie guides are going to be really useful for you too. There will be a lot about what you can and can’t do at different levels of membership but in amongst that, there’ll be some handy tips for you too.

See what I mean? Plus, the more you read about our forum, we’re pretty sure you’re going to want to sign up. Yes, you can read our threads while you’re lurking, but you can’t benefit from the freebies and offers that members get, and you can’t sell to our community of specialists (also known as a captive audience). We also have partnership programs and carefully selected offers with providers - you can https://www.blackhatworld.com/account/partnerships, but you will have to register an account to do that (aren't we sneaky?).

Lurking is a great way to find out if BHW is right for you. Lots of our users actually end up joining because they've been lurking for a while and they've discovered that BHW has a very unique community with an equally unique sense of humour. So go forth and lurk, we won’t rush you to join us, but we’ll be glad to have you when you do.

I was going to just lurk but after realizing I can't message anyone, I will become active...

bhw has a pm rule to stop spammers and un authorized sellers

Haha, Same here. Even I have been lurking for two years now, even after signing up. :P

It's a thread full of lurkers who are finally coming out, yet you want to point the finger at the last two replies?

Was planning to be a lurker and just observe but I realized that participation and execution is the best type of way to learn.

This is so true, I've lurked a lot and finally decided to be active again. I too encourage other lurkers to make an account and start being Active.
