I've been working in a photoshop and illustrator for a while now. Like, I used to create logos for my clan in 1.6 and that's how it all started.

I've worked for money before, I used to find people on Reddit most of the time, but for the last couple of months.. I can't. They all wan't logos for $5 or if I could do it for free...

I know for Fiver, upwork and 99design.

You can offer her on BHF
Fiverr , eBay , Own Website , Facebook Market , Instagram ...

The bigger question is, where should your clients come from. Offline or online?

With those dominating platforms like fiverr, upwork, etc. you either do those 5$ jobs or you have to try and go pro. Going pro takes a looot of time though (except you get lucky). Many Designers would advise you to make a nice looking portfolio, try out other Designing techniques/niches (for example web design, prototyping, UI Design,...). And post EVERY SINGLE WORK you do on all social media platforms you can think of. Don't try to publicly promote your work or advertise that you search for a client, big clients will start coming to you automatically. I've had some success with Nike and Nikon, both of them found me on different social media platforms. I wasn't looking for clients but I agreed to work with them. They usually overpay you by a lot so the time lost building everything up to that point, will be paid off.

So tip #1 stay patient and keep on posting

why not just self promote your self online just join freelance websites .

i do adverts with adode apps $150 a shot not $5 not worth getting out of bed.

need to join proper designing agency and get overdue work deals.

$5 logos will be hard to make a real living

Don't sell yourself cheap, make a site, promote it, and if you provide people quality they will stick with you in more projects and recommend you

try it here BHW offer your services
i always forget about that, I'll try that out.
Took a look. Will try some of his methods for sure.

Because I've tried couple of freelance sites, and I've noticed that In like a 5 minutes, ~50-60 peoples send their proposals (most of them do it almost for free) and it doesn't pay off for me to work couple of hours a day for $10

I get that. Making a nice porftolio which I currently do have, but there are not many works on it. It's something I did and liked. I don't know what to do with it, where do I promote that? I wanted to try Instagram but never did dunno why.

If they want logos for $5 make them a $5 logo. 15 minutes per logo, for example.

They are looking to get the most professional logo they can. I had a guy that wanted me to make him a logo similar to Starbucks for $10 I believe, he even wanted it for less and told me if he finds anyone cheaper, he'll have to go with that guy because im too expensive and he just opened his shop.

That's a good base. If you don't have any ideas on your own, tell startups you are doing them for free to get more work to show off. You can literally use EVERY social media platform you can think of. Put every work you do out there on every channel. Use Instagram, facebook, twitter, pinterest, imgur, discord, linkedin, snapchat, tiktok(blowing up right now)... there are so many. Don't forget to use the platforms that are country specific

I will like to see samples of your work.
Perhaps we can make strike a partnership deal if you are good at it.

Find a designer who is taking on higher-profile clients and reach out to them asking if they're looking for help. Most in-demand folks can always use an extra hand. Work with them for free for a couple projects, build a relationship, and if you do good work you can leverage your relationship with them to gain access to their clients and start building a more consistent clientele.
