So I’m looking to create my own private proxy pool for myself and a friend or two to use with a variety of bots, all geared towards buying limited edition items such as sneakers/clothing/funkos and various other profitable things. I want to try and set this up and see it work for myself so that I feel comfortable investing significant resources into setting up a far, FAR, larger operation to distribute proxies among other people that do what I do and need them for personal use. I say that because I don’t want to come off like the typical bro parachuting in asking dumb questions-I am close to being 30 years old and I only am posting this because I recognize the level of expertise found in this forum and I have had trouble definitively answering a question or two.
1) which subnet mask (ranging from /24 down to /19 or even lower) would I be smartest to use?
2) for these purposes, would ipv6 be essentially useless?
3) is renting IPs better for me than buying would be?
If anybody has any thoughts feel free to reply to this thread or PM me. Assuming that I decide to move forward with significantly scaling things up I would begin that effort early next month and would 100% be in the market for a well paid partner. I already have a dev who has a ready made dashboard etc available, and I welcome any and all opinions.
