Make 301 Redirects to New Website. Should or No?

Hi guys,
Currently, I have 2 domains include:

• 1 - Expired domain: 15 articles
• 2 - New Domain (2+ months old) : 8 articles.

For Domain 1: I don't know for what reason that all my keywords are not ranked in SERP ( not found #200). So I decided to build a new website(that's Domain2).
I have a question: I want to Re-use entire articles from domain 1. So What is the best way to do it?
I thought will make 301 redirects from Domain 1 to Domain 2, However, I am afraid that maybe if I do this it will affect my current website
So Any advice would be appreciated.

If you want to make a proper change use google webmaster to change the domain url for the site, that way new domain won't have an issue for duplicate content. or If you hate Google, just like me, simply get your first domain deindexed and use the content on second site.

If all articles are gone from the search engine, use copyscape for each article and post it on your new site

Submit the deindex request it might take a few days... Check after 2 to 3 days for plagiairsm..if jotjing is found on the google results then you are safe to use the contents in the new site.

I have read some articles on searchenginejournal they did say that GSC just "Hide" the post in SERP. Exactly not delete it

And that's probably right. Most cloud companies do not destroy data. it's a standard practice to move it or hide it instead of permanently delete it.
