Energy drinks selling online - need advice

Hi BHW friends,

I have supplier of Energy drinks 250ml cans - they are already in few shops in Europe.
So he's offering me a good price to resell them. What best places would be to sell in bulk or even 1pc.
And about delivery payment. Lets say if somebody order from my city I could deliver myself but if internationally sending lets say 3box of 24cans will cost a lot. Any help? Amazon maybe? And maybe online store just for my city (around it)

Start small in your city or country and see how the product is welcomed by your customers.

Not sure how easy it will be considering how the big companies promote themselves in the market but the ocean is big and full of fishes so you might catch some.

I mean selling energy drinks in your city or country, do not throw yourself with an online shop trying to sell them all over the world.

you should definitely start with selling it in your city or state.
Also Best is You start by targeting through fb ads and insta ads

Idk I can’t see anyone buying cans of energy drinks online, is that a thing?
They are best suited to be sold by getting them into gas stations, grocery stores, gyms, things like that.

Stuff like energy drinks and packagaged beverages are sold through a traditional chain of distribution. Foreign supplier - Importer - Wholesaler - Zipcode wise distributor - area-wise retailer. Try to fit yourself into one of these profiles, and you'll get consistent sales throughout the year. You'll have to work with payment terms (net 30 or 60 days from date of supply). All the best.

Ideally, start in your local town. Selling into shops.

Once you have regular buyers move into the city.

Once you have regular buyers, the next city, and so on.

I wouldn't bother thinking about international when you haven't even conquered your corner shop.

Around your city? If you have the courage,visit different shops/bars etc contact their manager, explain your product and ask to supply them etc. That's the most effective way i see going about this.

Will do that! Ill visit gyms as well. How about vending machine companies?

Sure but keep in mind that putting them in someone else's vending machines they will ask for their cut and i doubt after that you'll have to keep much for yourself.

But you can start with what we mentioned above and if you're successful you can get your own vending machines!

Just make it as simple as you can for them to understand,straight to the point, then offer them some free stuff to try them out.

1 package 24 cans. I never worked with Amazon, why 40? And how much would cost delivering to warehouse from Ireland to UK and then amazon fees?

When it comes to stocking the shelves put your product at eye level. Make sure they are in view to be seen.

Yes I was thinking same. But I could send some people just to buy them to prove the shop that they're selling

I'm not in this market, but I can tell you shipping international is going to be out of the question because of the weight--unless you reach a scale like Redbull.

Even a 24 pack being shipped to your local Amazon warehouse is going to probably eat your profits. You can list it on Amazon and ship it yourself, but Amazon's cut will still eat some of your profit.

I don't see people paying $2-3 for a can and then another $2-5 for shipping. People are not going to do that when they can just go to the local store and grab a trusted Redbull or Monster.

I would say your best option is probably to use influencers to promote the drink.


Personally, I would not waste my time with this market.

Thanks for answer but Im gonna do It anyway, because I get the product for a really good price and its actually nice. If it would be shit I wouldn't waste my time.
And actually it will be good experience because I never did that before and Im not gonna lose anything.
