Renewing my Jr VIP Subscription questions.....

I got the link to renew, but on getting to my paypal, I find its a subscription and there is nothing to do but wait till the due date? Is that correct? Is there no way to pay now before the due date in paypal?

Yup, unless your card expires, or something else blocks the payment; it is automatically renewed every year.

If you wish to cancel the subscription for any reason, you can go to paypal and do it from "manage subscriptions" menu.

If you pay now, you will get premium subscription (pink username) instead of jr vip.

You currently can't pay early - we're working on a solution to this at the moment so members can better manage their subscriptions and expect it to be part of 2.0 go live in the next few weeks.

As @Gogol mentions above - we will attempt auto-debit from your PayPal on the anniversary of your subscription, if the funds are available in your PayPal balance they will be deducted. If not then you'll be notified and your Jr. VIP removed.
