Can youtube terminate your account if you copy someones ideas and use it for your own video without crediting the owner? Or if someone reports the video? I would like to know cause i got inspired by some people and i basicaly maked a copy of the video but like not the video but the ideas from it
If u want examples i can dm u them my version and the other guys version.
Can i get banned from youtube if i keep doing this? even if i dont shout the guy out? I maked it myself tho but just copied everything and maked my own version of it. there is no stealing involved from the guys video, its just the copy. i would like to know cuz someone is threatening me to take my channel down and i work hard on my vids!

I haven't read all their Guidelines but you can see copied content everywhere so I highly doubt that they would do something against it

if you're not presenting any content that's similar to his, you don't need to worry. All he can do is to file complain to youtube, and if i were you, i'll do it first, report them for wrong accusations, he's just jealous of your content.

the problem is once you start surpassing the original content owner in views and subscribers or becoming more successful, they can become greedy and take your earnings and even go as far as to strike your channel for copyright. i will be careful.

Its the other way around my dude, I copied the guy his ideas and put them in a video BUT if i put in the description of the video that i got inspired by him.. would i have to worry about my channel getting banned? i mean im crediting him for the ideas so thats a good thing i guess

For me its not about the views and subs but the problem is more the copy ideas, cuz this is not the first time im doing this but in multiple vids it looks i'd say 80% the same as the original video. I can dm you a example so you can get a picture of what i mean

Ive seen people literally copying videos and blog posts word for word without ever crediting anything. I think you are fine as long as you add something to it.

Will it make any difference if i shout the guy out (who i got inspired by) in the description of my video? I think this would work out! anyone knows?

Dude come on you wont get banned for "copying" someone's idea. That would be like "let's shut down every vlogger because they steal each other ideas" makes no sense.

In that case it would have been better if you've requested permission. 99% of the time you'll get a go ahead since you're crediting them and you're may be adding a link to their channel or the original video.

I've come across my people uploading other people's video directly on their channel, and their channel has been around for some time now, the recent one i've come across is a fan of gary vaynerchuk, he duplicates all gary's videos into his channel and provide a link to the main source of the original video.

All i am trying to say is that, most youtubers won't have a problem copying their ideas or even exact content, provided a credit is given, and the credit should be in the form of link promoting their channel, video or website.

Maybe your guy is angry you haven't added any link to their video or channel, just mentioning their name as inspiration isn't enough for most people. they want live links in the description.

I believe any channel you want to copy ideas and you state clearly that you'll add credit links, you'll get a yes majority of the time.

Try and talk to your guy and let them know you'll provide credit the way they want, you may sought out things this way.

And finally you can meet someone who isn't just interested in your offer, move on, and you'll find better opportunities, you'll find channels in your niche that don't have problem with copying their content even as it is, provided you give credit.

I think ill go for the ''shout him out in description'' option since this is fair for us both and youtube wont really have a problem with that, am i right?

Youtube only terminates accounts for 3 main reasons, policy violation, adsense violation or content violation

Policy violations are things like uploading porn, drugs, alcohol, cursing, misrepresenting content for kids for example
Adsense violation is things like sending panel views to a monetized video, or logging in multiple locations in a monetized channel
content violation are things like getting 3 strikes from taking too much content and getting multiple strikes, and this is the hardest one to get an account closed and youll know its coming because you can see your strikes

I had a dbz channel I stole all the content imaginable including the broly movie when it was in theaters last year and I had no issues, I hav e 2 strikes on the account and its still fine

What if i make it the same but i said i got inspired, since its kinda gonna be the same. Can they report me for copyright use?

No. Idea won't get anyone banned. No one can claim idea as their intelectual right. Copyright material are like brand, music, video etc.

In fact, what you do is the right way. Make something better in a proven popular ideas (keywords). Keep it up and good luck.

What if i make it look similair to each other? like you can really see its a look a like.. could people then report the video for copyright use? Even tho it LOOKS the same but its not because I myself recorded it... yes it will look copied alot but i did record it myself to look like the other one and if anyone reports the video will youtube take that as a copyright material?

As long as what you recorded is not a copyright material, no one (including the dude you copief his idea) can file copyright claim.

You have to understand what a copyright material first. And a video idea is not a copyright material. But since you said you recorded something, then like I said above, as long as it's not a copyright material, you'll be fine.

Also, learn about fair usage. It will greatly help you and save you from some false claimant leech on youtube.

Yeah thats fine, listen man, Ive taken all types of content on channels, i literally would watch anime and reupload, you can still do that in youtube and make alot of money, but theyre cracking down, and you need to get around content match bots and other things now more than before. Up until last june you could just take anything and make money with it

As for what your saying, yeah thats how business works, infact take what another channel does and make it better, this is how business works. Let me give you an example

Say the top video in a youtube niche is 10 minutes, and all the thumbnails are a green color for the top ranked vids

Well now you make an 11 minute video doing the same thing so your retention time can be longer, with a blue thumbnail, go over the same information and add something, and use the keywords and tags puts on the videos which you can find with various things like vidiq

So theres a free little course lol

This is basically how competition in niches works
