The medium exists in order to do transactions without requiring a third party "verifying" anything, and keeping the exchanges free of banking and government chokeholds. Crypto is an equity based system where the value moved in the transactions is supposed to be verified by the software, wallet to wallet in the blockchain, not a debt based issue where the exchanges are subject to human or institutional review. A gift card eliminates the owner needing to see a report to dispute anything. Chargebacks should not be integrated into the crypto system at all, so credit cards should not be accepted as a form of payment.
