Hello everyone guys!
Today I am here in this section of the forum to ask for advice from those who have long been on Youtube business.

I have the opportunity to purchase a Youtube channel with 130,000 Italian members and 24 Million Views in total and has been inactive for 1 year.

Last 5 Videos: 20k, 3k, 5k, 8k, 6k views.

Selling Motivation: the owner, after years of sacrifices, decided to throw this channel away and go to find a real job (which after 2 years he couldn't find lol) because he didn't make money (I suppose he is ignorant of the matter).

My question is:
-500 € is a good price for this type of channel? (the owner activated monetization on youtube 2 days ago, he did not even know of the existence of it)
-If I will buy the channel, will changing its name cause a shadowban from Youtube?
-Are the videos in the channel recommended to be deleted or made private? (I'm a whole lot)
-How long it's gonna take for me to resurrect the channel? Do I have to post consistently?
-Log in the account from different IP, will raise a flag like on Instagram?

I need your help, Youtube Guru's!
Thanks in advance!

500 Euros is definitely a good price for it. You can just buy the channel and resell it for 1500-2000 EUR.

I might be thinking to start it and go.
Do you also have the knowledge to answer the question I post? :):)

My guess is the channel cannot be monetized without someone claiming the songs. There are plenty of such channels, if the music isn't unique then you cannot monetize it without holding the rights. Name change wont cause shadowban, but if the channel has a tick (usually comes after 100K subscribers if claimed) then you will lose it with the name change, rest you need to figure out yourself.

500 euro is a joke price! definitely buy it!

No such thing as good or bad, that is entirely subjective. You say it's activated for monetization, can you clarify if that means it has been approved?

Probably not.

Unlisted the videos. After a few months once you have a bunch of your own newly uploaded videos and have accumulated some watch time you can then delete the old videos. Don't delete all at once, just a few each day. Sometimes rankings are effected by deleting old videos but this seems to be an okay way to do it.

Impossible to answer that. The channel might be completely dead in which case all you are buying is a monetized channel with 'social proof' and 0 active subscribers. You'll have to make the estimation for youself as to whether you think it's worth it. I've seen inactive channels this size get less than 100 views on new uploads, can do even worse if your changing the name and content is different.

I haven't looked into it in a while but it used to be the case that you would want to acquire YouTube channels via ownership transfer to your own gmail account, instead of by taking over their gmail account. What used to happen was scammers would be able to report their gmail account as hacked after selling an account and they could recover it via google support with the channel but this was much less likely to happen via ownership transfer.

Last thing: hackers often steal inactive channels and sell them on forums. The fact that the owner didn't know he could enable monetization is suspicious so think about it carefully and make sure their story checks out. Pay via a refundable method like PayPal goods and services if possible so if something goes wrong you can recover the funds :)

for 500 € its worth a shot. Instead of starting from scratch this will give you a head start atleast. Deleting or not the old content depends on what type of content it is. If you will be posting videos in same niche then I don't see any harm in keeping the old videos.

Thanks for answering all the questions.
Well, the owner started the channel about 5 years ago. The name of the channel is his personal name. He was doing parody about italian trapper, like simulating a phone call with them, like cutting part of their interview and add his part like he was talking to them..
You know, that kind of person who doesn't know what he has on his hand. In fact, he said to me that He wasn't making money over it, or at least the pay-out he was generating in his best time, was about 100€ a month. He wasn't getting money from Youtube monetization (because he didn't even know about it) but from some agency, he joined. Then he couldn't afford to spend his whole time to earn that less (since he didn't know how to monetize) and decided to go look for a real job since he was (and he still is) unemployed.

A few days ago, talking to his friend, he just discovered that he could have got a partnership with youtube and monetize the channel, so he just went inside the channel and did it.
It looks really like a good guy, in need of the money. Plus, I have all his contacts (Instagram, Facebook, and Whatsapp). Basically, he doesn't know the internet very well.
The idea is since I'm into Social Media Marketing and I have few customers who are doing actually trap music, I would love to get paid for post their videos + I will get traffic from their fan base.

I'm thinking about the fact that I can charge 500€ just for post a video in my channel at the beginning, and give some hype to the artist.

Definetely it looks like a good deal for me.

500 are peanuts for this. Go for it

How can you be sure these aren’t fake subs and fake views? Just because he didn’t know he could turn on monetisation? People can be sneaky at times. The best option would be to put down a down payment on the channel and see how much money the videos are making.

I checked the channel from A to Z, it has the most viewed video 1,1 M, second 900K.

He was doing parody at the beginning about Italian trappers when trap was not a big thing like now. Putting his face in front of the camera, making comedy. So it is all real :) I might be thinking if this channel can be turned into Musical Channel if it will still have his appeal to his fan base.

None of what you said is proof that the fans and views are real. Not saying they’re not but just because he’s got his face in his video doesn’t mean he hasn’t paid for the fans and views.

If you feel it is ethically correct, then buy it. And to it quick. Because now he enabled the monetization, and we both know the RPM for such videos for Italian audience... His friend (the one who told him about monetization option) will surely also show him in Analytics how much he made in the first week. And then the price won't be $500 anymore.

500 € is a pretty good price for you, as you said the owner activated monetization on youtube 2 days ago, did you checked how much he made in 2 days from that channel?

He opened his channel with the intent of making money, He had been growing it for 2 years, the channel has millions of views and he just happens to "discover" he can add ads to his videos, just when he's trying to sell it... Doesn't sound right. I don't know, think about it, does this make sense to you?

He’s actually trying to sell it since 7 months, and he couldn’t. I checked all the videos he published, I have access to the page and all we can find on youtube. No secrets, no bad intentions.
He created the channel 2015 and start to grow it and then lost himself on his way since he was not doing money on it, and of course life got difficult and he needed to find a job and doesn’t have time around this “toy” which wasn’t making him a good profit. Imagine yourself doing video everyday and not getting nothing from it, how can you at 30 years old manage to live a life!? :)

This could be happen! I’ll try to be fast as I can since i’m afraid of it.. channel been on sale for few months and just now that i want it something will happen

It just doesn't sound ok to me. If I was going to start a YouTube channel and had no job, it's obvious I'd know that I could enable ads, how did he think he could make money from his videos, then?

But that's just my opinion, if it sounds right to you, buy it. Hopefully it's a good channel!
