It would be really handy if we could sort a members posts by number of likes or replies to the thread.

There has been some really cool posts over the last 5 years which have some absolute gems in them, but these get lost and are impossible to find by trying to sift through members profile posts.

It would make it easier to find them if we could sort a members posts to see what was popular.

Maybe something in BHW 2.0?

At times, they're just trolls or jokes on CEOSam gathering lots of likes, but anyway either you get real gems or funnier-than-Reddit content so great idea indeed.

Based on the assumption that likes mean squat?

Yes, I think that quality posts get a reasonable number of likes. Not always going to be accurate, but the best indicator we have in the current format.

Open to other suggestions of how to make them easier to find? Any tips would make my life easier.

By the way, you realise that you made a statement and put a question mark on the end. I assumed you were asking a question.

Oh you meant likes on the thread, even that would filter out a lot of useful posts that don’t get much traction just because they weren’t worded right.

Edit : I think a similar suggestion was made a while back. Can’t seem to find the thread though.

You look at the number of posts some members have, 5k+ and you know they have posted some quality threads in the past, not just throwaway for giggles posts, trying to find them is a pain in the arse currently.

Any method to improve this would be cool, as I am convinced there is some great content, advice and methods hidden in the nearly 1m discussions currently on BHW.

a lot of people in the past gamed the likes bs by group likes
so its not really 100% reliable

In every forum page you can find it

In bottom of the page there is option for it

You can list by your choice like

No of views
No of likes
Last reply time
Etc

You can make it ascending order or descending order also

Thanks, I did not see that before, that is handy.

My suggestion was based on a member though. For example, say I think that @MisterF knows his stuff and I respect a lot of what he says (obviously I don't :p), so I would like to search on only his posts and then sort them by the only quality metrics we have, number of likes or replies.

That way I have a better chance of finding something actionable to make $'s.

Make sense?

Yeah, i appreciate your suggestion.
I just misunderstood initially, that's why I deleted immediately. But somehow you managed to note and quote that before I notice

I almost felt flattered there.....

Yes, I can see the thinking behind this, but I've no idea if this could be put in place.

Maybe a BHW 2.0 feature?
