Hi there, BHW.

So... in October 2019 I started my first affiliate website (literally my first time trying SEO / learning about SEO).

I got burned out pretty quickly, probably because I've chosen a niche which doesn't interest me at all.

The thing is, the website makes sales from not so many clicks and with the last article (and the last time I've ever checked on the website) on December 12, 2019.

Articles:
  • 3 articles posted in November 2019.
  • 6 Articles posted in October 2019.
  • 3 articles posted in December 2019.
Also, the website doesn't have many backlinks. It has a total of 103 backlinks in GSC.

Backlinks:
  • 46 from Tumblr. (90% do-follow)
  • 12 from Reddit. (10 do-follow)
  • 2 from Wikimedia. (no-follow)
  • 1 from YouTube. (do follow)
  • 1 from Medium. (no follow)
  • rest are non-important / bad backlinks that I didn't made.
The website doesn't have many clicks or good positions on SERPs, as you might expect.

Globally:
bX3E4lI

US:
NX2wzrL

BUT!

The website, somehow, is starting to make sales...

November (first month of the website being live):
IPXihD1

December:
s8A80HL

January:
BljRNWY

February:
rAMZmvJ

The domain of the website is a brand new one, never registered before. The backlinks are mostly web 2.0s, I haven't written an article since December 19, 2019, I haven't logged into it since December 2019, all my rankins and clicks are shit.

But, somehow, it starts to make some money. I met some people here that were struggling for months to get at least one sale, some that waited months to create their amz affiliate account because of the 3 sales rule, but my shitty website is getting sales..

Now, I really hate the niche. It is extremely boring and every product is basically the same. Every product description is the same, but re-written. The big niche is furniture, but my website about a type of product in the furniture niche.

What do you guys think? Have I quit something that showed signs of becoming big? Should I start writing articles again on it?

Disclaimer: I know those aren't big money, I know that the website's statistics are shit, I know I've only sold 7 products so far. I'm questioning myself because if I compare this to the average first-timer this website seems to be way-ahead of regular first-timer Joe's website, and I fear that I've quit something that had the potential to become great.

You have got into right niche as you are getting sales with little traffic.

Just work on it and scale it little bit and then sale it.

If you hate writing content, you can always hire writers from BHW.

Within 6 months without much hard word you have achieved. Congrats you are in the right spot.

I won't recommend you to stop this. I don't why are you hating this niche. As like @MisterXYZ mentiined outsource content and backlink from some reputed provider. Then sell it, you might get good amount of$$$ for starting the new projects in your favorite niche.

As other members here say that you are on the right track (you are making money with 9 articles) why dont you start buying articles and scale the profit?

If you are not happy with this website and still pushing yourself then better to sell it. Start with another niche and make it grand.

hi can i check which plugin in wordpress r u using to track sales? is it jetpack?

Obviously the site can do better if you put in a little more work. Hire some article writer and get more articles on the website. Goodluck.

you have to give up when you 65 / remember kfc ... stop at that age... think of social skill .. get a rich girl ..life easy after that

Yeah, I was thinking about scaling it and then selling it. I'll probably just buy mediocre articles from BHW and then re-write them the way I like it. (I like editing existing articles but I hate making one from scratch, I'm not not a writer)

This is why I'm questioning myself, these results, although small are better than most beginners.

I hate this niche because it is just so god damn boring, haha. I've written articles in other niches as well, all of them were boring (I might just not be the type of person to write articles) but this one is the most boring I think I'll ever see, the only one that would beat it I think are toothpicks.

I'm also working on multiple projects in total different areas.

Project 1: This amz affiliate website.
Project 2: Game development (almost done with my first game)
Projects 3&4&5 I'd like to keep a secret.

I just don't know what's wrong with me, I start something, it goes really well and then I move onto something else, it goes really well and the circle continues. If something goes bad I'll work 24/7 to fix it but if something goes right I just lose interest.

I'm not tracking sales with a Wordpress plugin, that's the console inside Amz associates.
